I get it, one person at bungie felt gamers are too toxic to have chat. Well, I take it back, I don't get it. Why is a social game like Destiny so impossible to communicate in? This game would be so much better with local text chat and voice proximity defaulted to on. Hey, want to team up and do bounties? Nope, cant do it. Let me send an unsolicited invite that you will likely ignore because you don't know why I am sending it. Hey guys, shoot the ship down to turn this into a heroic event! Oh crap, no way to let any of you know and you just ended the even before we could upgrade it. Hey, you look new, blah blah blah. Nope, lets just make it so no one can talk. Social games are not supposed to be for making new friends. You need to play with real life friends only (bungie's statement with no raid matchmaking in d1) Sigh. This is by far the BIGGEST gripe I have with this game, and bungie in general with their antisocial narrative.
