This is interesting However the ghost says Hyperion is "way out there". It doesn't really make sense for him to say this if the colony is on a moon that orbits the same planet as the one you're on. And even less sense since we go even farther out with ease shortly after.

Agreed; relatively speaking, the distance that we Guardians cover in our ships, using Destiny 1 as a reference, from Mercury (The Lighthouse) to Saturn (The Dreadnought) is fair enough to say a good ways away from each other. So hopping from one side of Saturn to the other (assuming Titan's and Hyperion's orbits) should be equivalent to taking a stroll through the Tower, in terms of ease. The Ghost does make it seem that Hyperion, whether it is another moon, or artificial satellite, is significantly further out than just another moon of Saturn. Whether the Ghost says it with respect to the Last City distance-wise or the point where the Guardian is on Titan, its just a little too vague to draw conclusions so far.
