Why is crucible still pretty much REQUIRED if you want to reach max power?

I get it, a LOT of folks find PvP games really fun. I'm not one of them. I'm disabled and have a really hard time with the pace and the attitude in crucible matches. I play Destiny to escape my disability in real life. In the destiny universe, I can run, jump, and do all sorts of things my physical body will never be able to do again. I can feel somewhat good about myself while in the destiny univverse... UNTIL I'm forced to try crucible because Ive reached some kind of weekly set limit on things that raise my power level up. So I try. I get beat so bad and then the "tea-bagging" starts and then Everything feels like a direct insult to me, and I - pretty quickly - lose the desire to continue, and end up feeling like second-hand dog crap if I stick around for longer than a match or two of complete fails... I mean, I have a darned kd of less than .5 if I remember right. I am consistently THE ONE teams seek out and team shoot. So, come on folks at Bungie... How about making it easier for folks who SUCK as bad as me get together with OTHER people who arent good, instead of me getting matched up with folks who have gone flawless in Trials multiple times already, who use me simply to get further up in their kd ratio the easy way? Or how about this - make crucible a completely separate portion of the game, untied at all to the PvE side. BY ANY QUESTLINE (of significance)... but that aint gonna happen... Ever. I know, I know... I suck... I'll save you the words: Git Gud (sic). Now, I'll take suggestions as to how to seriously get better matches or how to be better given my skill and ability I HAVE AT MY DISPOSAL. I'm not looking for pity party hand outs or carries, I want to get better, I really do, but I have limits. Be the Destiny community I remember that helps each other and HELP A BROTHA OUT!
