There's nothing wrong with 3ofC, it's certainly better than the forum being flooded with people screaming about being denied access to a raid team, because they have no G-horn !!
It's laughable the amount of gear that drops in Destiny during 1 hour of game play, compared to similar games. Until Bungie pulls their head out of their a-- and fixes the problem, 3ofC is needed!! Not everyone wants to have to grind for EVERYTHING, especially if they are going to take gear away only to make you grind for it again in the next expansion (icebreaker, thorn, vault and Crota raid weapons).

LMAO!!! I guess you weren't around in year one!! I bought my G-horn from xur the second week of Destiny, the first time he sold it, I was lucky, very few people did. The forums were flooded in year one with people complaining that they didn't have a G-horn, it didn't drop enough or they weren't allowed to join a raid because they didn't have a G-horn.

While we're telling stories that have nothing to do with my original post, I was a beta player, actually. I saw the gjallarhorn for sale but didn't have enough strange coins, or context for what was strong in this game. I dropped out for the dark below because they changed everything in the game without warning, made all the loot I'd worked hard for completely useless and locked everything behind the dlc...I came back during house of wolves to play without dlc when TTK was announced because TTK fixed a lot of issues I had with Y1, been playing ever since. The idea is that if exotics are hard to come by, then people might lower their standards, especially if there are high-dps mythic items that are good enough. If Gjallarhorn were a random drop in this system, I'd think it would be rather hard to find a group of six that had it.

I like the idea of high DPS mythical weapons, they sorta tried that in the beginning with the vex mythoclast. I had that weapon before it got nerfed, it was awesome. It was powerful the way a weapon like that should be, but weapons like that won't work in Destiny. Because Bungie insists on keeping pve and Pvp together, weapons like the vex will keep getting ruined in order to keep the crucibabies happy. If they separate pvp and pve, I would love to see weapons like the pre-nerf vex, the pre-nerf G-horn, they would be worth the grind. I'm just sick of awesome weapons nerfed into the ground, just to pacify the crucibabies and try-hards of Osiris.
