It's about 60% the communities fault, 40% Bungies fault.

  • No...I'd say 30% the community's fault for being pvp babies and 70% Bungie's fault for listening to said babies and not correctly appropriating the "balancing" between pve and pvp.

  • Nah, 90% of what was changed was done so because a majority (or very loud minority) of the community asked for it. Could Bungie have implemented it better? Yes. But at the end of the day, nerfs wouldn't have happened if no one had complained. It's 60% this community, 40% Bungie, and that's being generous

100% bungie's fault...they took easy way out and just nerfed and nerfed and nerfed without even looking or thinking what it would do. So when something got broke cause of nerf, they just nerfed that too. Prime example....So 3 years later they go back to year 1 handcannon accuracy but give it harsh damage fall off. Why didn't they just do this instead of bloom and ghost bullets. Now, autos have no change vs handcannons even though they buffed autos. Autos still kill w same # of bullets so obviously they can't compete w sidearms and handcannons. I can't believe that we lose all sniper, shotgun, and fusion ammo after a death. Fusions were used 2% of players. Now it's .8% players. This is just one example, but why is this a good thing. They have no clue...destiny sandbox team is killing the game. After 3 years they decide that every special weapon loses all its ammo after death. No one want to go look for special after every death. It's boring, takes u out of action and away from objective, ur vulnerable to sidearms and other special weapons when u only have a primary, etc. I could go on. If all primary weapons were powerful and all special weapons are powerful and we had closer balanced weapons, instead of meta weapons far Superior.....PVP would be amazing. To many nerfs and weapon diversity and class diversity is the smallest it's ever been and is quite boring except for a few setups.

  • So much right in this post, it would cause someone's brain at Bungie to burst. Be careful, before you hurt a Bungie employee.

The majority of what was nerfed, was nerfed because the community asked for it. If people didn't whine, I highly doubt destiny would even be half of what it is today.

  • If they nerf something, something else could brake and they don't think of that...

  • I feel like they do for the most part think of potential consequences. Sure they fůćk up and cause more bugs, but it's all in an attempt to appease the playerbase. Which is why I place the majority of the blame for what destiny has become, on the community.
