Fire emblem fates: Birthright, Am I prepped for endgame?

TL;DR at bottom Ok, so I made it to the endgame levels. At chapter 27, you face
the nohrian king Garon and his army consisting of - himself - a whole -blam!-ton of troops (I think 30 or something...unless I'm thinking of a paralogue map)
And my army consists of
-the avatar, who can't even get a good over 90% chance for a hit when attacking -takumi, who one shots everything -ryoma who has ascended to the point where they mostly take no damage now - everyone else who definitely have no chance in hell of ever hitting an enemy and doing significant damage without losing Chunks of health...
Earlier when I tried playing on casual I reset by accident and that was a good thing. If I had kept playing to the end I would've had a bad time (low magic on magic troops, poor stats all around). On this run (classic) everyone has been kept alive, I've farmed like crazy to get most of my troops to lvl 20 and then promoted (via master seal). So I should be set, right? No ones dead, I have a full army, I should be set...except I'm no where close. For one I picked the wrong bane. So my avatar now has low resistance, meaning any magic using troop is gonna kick my ass and send me to the start of the map if I die. in my defence, "excitable" didn't exactly scream "no resistance to magic shit" the way the other banes did. 2. I'm pretty sure I need to keep grinding XP, because most of the reclassed characters aren't really over lvl 10 in their new classes and don't have a full list of skills yet. But I don't know which maps to do that on. Either that or I did something that caused ryoma to become a powerful tank and leave everyone else in the dust. When only one of my troops was needed to complete the hardest levels in the campaign because everyone else takes too much of a hit there's a definite problem... My question: how do I properly prep for this endgame boss fight? What skills do you recommend me picking up (through castles or grinding) before heading in? Should I reclass any troops? And finally, which map would be the best to grind XP for the on? TL;DR I screwed up and am struggling at endgame. How should I properly prep for the fight? Remember: everyone is alive at this point and (most) of the characters children are recruited (shouldn't have waited on the paralogues)...
