Disagree with the melee changes, brimstone+sunburst is hella fun to use during solar burn strikes that combo is orbs for days to allies, i would say keep it but increase the damage of the explotion to guaranteed kill tier 1 enemies, also a guaranteed orb for hitting a enemy could be a bit too strong, maybe give back solar wind the capability to push allies and buffing them with extra agility or movement speed and debuff enemies with a slow. The main problem with buffs and debuffs in destiny is that we are in a fps shooter so bungie have to strike a balance in a clean hud for the shooting and the texts, symbols, notifications for the buff/debuffs; AoEs, etc that we have in rpgs so i ts like trying to dumb down something really complex without damaging the idea or core of the thing we are trying to simplify.

  • Tbh I never used Brimstone so i will take your word for it that it cant kill t1 mobs and if that is the case then it would definitely need a little love so it can at least kill an acolyte. And maybe a balance for the Sunburst change would to have the orbs in pvp be the small ones that give you a smigint of super or have it increase your melee cooldown time. I can also see where you are coming at with the clean hud thing (Im assuming the SoF change?). Alternatives I quickly thought up of could be a orangey glow emitting from your person (the one receiving the SoF boost) similar to that of a force barrier, skorri's effect, or the casing over a warlock or titan when the use their boost jumps. Perhaps allies can get a UI effect opposite of suppression, where they have their ability blocks grey'd out, and maybe make them a golden color for the time being. That would make it so nothing would obscure your vision because something that already covers your view is getting affected.

  • You should try that combo in this weekly strikes (solar burn + brawler) and you will laugh maniacally as you wipe t1 adds and rains orbs every 10 or 15 seconds, as for the Song of fire yeah that could work plus it would feel really action packed seeing a sunsinger poping radiance your screen turning flaming gold (akin to golden gun) and starting throwing nades like mad man with you team. I have a fond memory in VoG when a warlock used radiance with song of flame to help pushing the templar, it looked pretty freakin cool all the fireteam throwing nades like a mortar onslaught on the templar.
