Your opponent would still be doing roughly 92% Damage, light matters but not excessively until over a 50 point light difference where it then drops below 90% That and hawkmoons perk may have been in effect on both or either of the shots

  • That still doesnt explain why back in banner an arc blader with that much difference would take 3 strikes to kill someone, why even make light level advantage on if its not gonna make a difference then? Seems broken again to me just like when banner first came out.

    Well they want everyone to be able to play Iron banner, if the level difference was too steep it would be unfair to many at lower light levels resulting in less people playing I guess. Imo It should be tiered with people matchmade against others within 20 light levels of one another. As for arc blade it was more an issue of hit detection not working properly which they were have supposeddbto fix at the april update earlier this year but Tbh I can say as I havnt ran arc blade on my hunter since year one

  • Thats my point, bungie is too lazy to fix and issue like that they rather make something pointless say level advantages are enabled and make it a .1% difference? Idk this is they only thing thats annoyed me about trials at all its been fine otherwise

  • Every 10 light difference equates to roughly 2% its one of the reasons I have never bothered grinding for max light TTK I think I got to 329 on my main which was more than adequate. Its to keep the majority competitive against one another
