Thank you Bungie for always being awesome and making AWESOME content and not implementing microtransaction BS like Halo 5. I received an xbox as a seasonal gift and along with it I requested Destiny, Halo 5, and SW:Battlefront. I thought for sure my favorite game would be Halo 5 -- especially since I've loved the franchise since Halo:CE. I'd never played Destiny, nor did I know much about it. I just knew I liked what Bungie did in the past and this genre looked interesting. Boy, did I guess everything wrong. I played a fair amount of each title for first 6 weeks and Destiny was SO MUCH MORE FUN than either other game that I almost forgot about them completely! I spent all my time looking forward to coming home (or finishing tasks) to play Destiny -- my wife did too!
I look back now as I considered picking up Halo 5 again just to play a few rounds b/c the graphics were great and the gameplay was fun...ish -- but I just can't do it! I remember feeling so manipulated by some high-up exec who thought it was a great way to make a bunch of money. I just feel icky playing Halo 5.
So THANK YOU Bungie (and Activision) for not being a bunch of corporate greed money-mongers. Based upon the content Bungie (Activision) produces, I feel like a treasured fan not a digital drug addict.
PS pumped for Rise of Iron -- I pre-purchased weeks ago. Halo hasn't received a dime from me since Feb and they never will.
What do you think about microtransactions as a center piece of console gameplay?

Halo 5 doesn't gimp you in a new update if you don't buy it because, hey, updates are FREE. If you don't want to pay for req packs, hey, you don't have to, because they are FREE. You get a pack with warzone reqs every day just for starting the game.
