Tripmine Trade-off

Agree, remove the flashing red light

Disagree, leave the light on, Motel 8

So, I understand Bungie's reasoning behind taking away the ability to stick an enemy with tripmine grenades. The damage nerf? Not really. But anyways... if it won't stick to enemies anymore and is meant to be a trap grenade, I think it shouldn't give away its location with the flashing red light, at least not to enemies. What do you guys think?

  • I disagree this would be like taking the red light off the snipers. Snipers are supposed to be seen but you see them with the red glowing light.

I agree. Tripmines are so easy to spot. They wanted grenades to work as traps, but they don't do anything about the grenades basically saying "hey guardian, here I am waiting to kill you."

    • Keep the light bit make less noticeable. Its easy to spot and avoid tripmines....way too easy.

    • Keep the red light but get rid of the glowing cone that extends from it. That way you can actually set traps with them. Not only are they useless for one shots now, but you can't even cleverly hide them because the massive glowing cone of light sort of gives them away no matter where they are.

    • How about instead of removing the red light they just make it less noticeable. I main a titan and i even agree that it is way to noticeable.
