What is more likely to win in a one-v-one fight with just the melee?
(Assuming both opponents have low armor)
I think it's a pretty close fight 🔪🔥💀
1 ReplyKnife will not win sorry Hunter

4 RepliesTHINK FOR A SECOND. Warlock wins hands down at close range because of flame shield. BUT We are comparing throwing knife to scorch. Which means some range is involved. Hunter has the range advantage for first strike. Hunter has melee speed advantage. Warlock has flame shield BUT Option 1 The hunter could hit the warlock first at range, then trade hits on the second and run away to let the warlock burn out from the first flaming knife. Flaming knife headshot +follow up punch will kill a warlock even with flame shield. Option. 2 Hunter lands first strike with throwing knife. Trades second hit, has melee speed advantage so you can get the third hit off before the warlock gets second hit off. It all depends on landing the throwing knife at range. But if that happens the hunter has a huge advantage. If it doesnt, the hunter is screwed

1 ReplyNeither? Scorch nor Throwing Knife is capable of killing a player unaided.
-
HA! Warlocks have Flame Shield.
-
6 RepliesNo smart Hunter would just throw a knife without priming their target first.
-
2 RepliesDoes anyone else sometimes have this happen to you? Okay (I don't know if this only happens when your incendiary blade is charged) so I melee attacked an enemy in pvp and he actually set on fire when I smacked him. Is this supposed to happen?

Edited by awesome1401: 6/1/2016 8:04:40 AMThrowing knife every time. This throwing knife montage will show you why!
-
Edited by Ferus Lux: 6/1/2016 7:30:56 AMWhen both are played correctly, its a stalemate. Hunter hits Warlock with an incendiary blade headshot, Warlock gets within range and hits Hunter with Flame Shield Melee, but still doesn't have enough durability to survive a follow-up Hunter melee and manages to land a post mortem melee.

Literally throwing knife burn + thrall fart = KO

16 RepliesAre people on this forum THAT stupid ? If you're outside of melee range, throw a knife, hit the opponent, body shot them, then they're going to die before they get to use their melee. There needs to be IQ tests before you're allowed to even vote on the forum. This is ridiculous. If you're in melee range, you can't even throw a knife. It'll automatically convert to a regular melee. I honestly don't think people use their heads at all anymore. Everyone just thinks Warlock melees are over powered so they instantly assume to select that choice.

6 RepliesAt melee range? Scorch will 1-hit or some Jewish Warlock tricks & bullshit. At further range? Scorch still wins due to throwing knife missing every time if they move a little.
-
throwing knife has more range
-
Throwing knife kills is my favorite hunter melee kill saves your life big time but no knife juggler with fire burn sucks, but one or two shots throw a knife
-
Seems like all the knowledgeable players are not on this post scorch does not one hit an it only does 178 with the perks on cmon kids use your brains before you speak
-
Scorch kills in one, a throwing knife can't unless the opposing player is running low armour....
-
5 RepliesYou just edited your to attempt to win your argument. That's sad.
-
Throwing knife would win since it has more range
-
Hunter throws a knife at charging Titan. Titan melees and causes burn. Hunter melees Titan. Both die.
-
1 ReplyScorch one shots It's broken, like a lot of the things in this game
-
i could headshot a throwing knife on the approaching warlock before he gets into melee range, i do it all the time on my hunter and i main a warlock. i use fire knifes too so if they have high armour the precision damage plus a couple ticks and they drop like a rock
-
3 Repliesthe solar titan. Hammer to the face of both those idiots. :p
-
In a purely melee fight, scorch wins. Hunter throws knife, Warlock starts burning. Warlock hits Hunter with scorch and gains an overshield. At this point multiple factors come into play.... - If the Warlock has VF, Hunter burns to death - If the Warlock maintains their melee range advantage, Hunter dies - If the Hunter has 2 throwing knives, Warlock dies All of this of course assumes that the Hunter is accurate with their throwing knives.

Quick question. How much damage does Storm Fist deal?
-
7 RepliesHere's how this would go; -Hunter would throw throwing knife -Warlock would start burning -Warlock would melee -Warlock would get shield and hunter would start burning -Hunter would continue to burn since scorch melee with viking funeral does 199 damage -Hunter would die, while warlock walks away with a shield
