Guess you didnt snipe much or play much COD. The M40A3 from cod4, the intervention from MW2, MSR from MW3, the Ballista from BlopsII. Ring any bells. You could quick scope the crap out of people and one shots were real.
The thing about snipers in any FPS is that they have the fastest time to kill in the game with the least exposure. Fast time to kill and the ability to be far away from the fray keeps snipers where there at and where theyll be.

I played an insane amount of cod. I'm not saying snipers weren't easy to use but they weren't nearly as effective as in Destiny if you compare all weapons as a whole.
