The Electoral College is broken. Each state votes differently, some give the Electoral votes proportionally to each candidate, and some give all the votes to the candidate with the fifty-one percent vote. California, for example, is a zero sum game. This means that whomever receives the majority of the votes in the popular election will receive all of the state's representation. This essentially erases the entire Midwest's representation.
Also, the electoral college voters can choose to vote out of their own preference rather than for their constituents. It is a broken system.
