Bullet magnetism on snipers doesn't exist in Destiny. Snipers use hitscan, the game decides whether or not the shit registers a hit the nanosecond you pull the trigger. What you mean is, the reticle sticks to the target longer. This has been proven time and again by various sources in various updates.

Correct. Bullet magnetism doesn't exist at all in Destiny because ALL guns in this game are hitscan (except fusions, side arms, and rockets of course). Functionally speaking, the second you pull the trigger the bullet instantly teleports from your gun to taget. There is zero travel time, so no "curving" or whatever the hell. It is, however, still possible in Destiny to hit shots you should have missed or miss shots you should have hit. That's how the accuracy mechanic works in this game, and why accuracy is the most overlooked stat (it's been rolled into range in y2 for some reason, so range is pretty much the god stat now).

  • To the second part, that's especially true when shooting while jumping. Unless you're using Angel of Light or Bellicose, all accuracy pretty much goes out the window while midair. I actually used to have a saved clip where I jumped up, scoped with a Longbow, shot the ground, and the game gave me a kill for it in Control. It looked cool as hell but there was no way that shot actually should've hit.

  • That's an example of poor accuracy working in your favor, which happens from time to time in this game. Just really lucky, basically.

  • Yes, I did mention that with the lack of midair accuracy.

  • Go into Rumble with your friends and have the reticle on your sniper right next to his head and pull the trigger. Record it and post.
