Well the truth is, people have told me that my Takes have been getting a little lack luster because it feels like I've been forced to write these Takes, rather than in the past. I took their advice and took a small break, but now Snark's back, and feeling much better. Thanks for your patience!
____________________________ "Hrngh... Eugh..." The Hunter blathered subconsciously as he came back into consciousness. Slowly opening his eyes, the Hunter put a hand to the side of his helmeted face. What happened? He slowly sat up, grunting with effort. "Ohhhh my friggin' head." He finally uttered, looking around the room, though clouds of dust obscured his view-- Wait... Why was dust everywhere in the first place? Oh that's right... The Warlock lost her temper, again, and lit the fireworks. Suddenly something hard started shuffling under the Hunter's rear, muffled noises sounding from under him. "Mff! Hunt-- Mff! Off, please!" The Hunter immediately scrambled to his feet to see his Ghost lying on the ground. "Ghost? What the heck were you doin' under me?!" The Hunter exclaimed bent over to pick up his tiny companion. "Aren't you guys supposed to be way up?" "You rolled onto me." The Ghost explained simply, looking up at his Guardian. "You rolled onto me when I was checking your body for any damage. There was nothing... B-but..." The Ghost's voice started to quiver before he thrusted himself into the Hunter's helmeted face, nuzzling his entire body against the Hunter's visor. "I-I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!" The Ghost gushed. "Grk-- Okay, okay, okay Ghost. Yeesh calm down!" The Hunter said before giving his Ghost a gentle shove away from his face with a hand. He sighed before looking around at the damage around the room. It was ruined. The base was freakin' ruined. As he muttered the most frustrating of curses, muffled noises and grunts of effort were sounded from a pile of rubble, making the Hunter pause his venting. "What the--?" The Hunter mumbled before approaching the moving pile. "Okay, okay, hold up I'll get ya out." He said before taking a hold of a large piece of broken furniture and pulling on it. "You're only making it worse!" The voice shouted at the Hunter. Though it was muffled, the Hunter immediately recognized the voice shouting at him. It only belonged to the one who always shouted at him. "Ugh..." The Hunter grumbled at the subtle contempt in their voice before backing away. Moments after, the rubble started to shuffle until the Warlock completely emerged from the it hand-first. Taking deep, silent breaths and leaning over slightly, the Warlock said nothing for tens of seconds. "Hey uh, 'Lock you okay?" The Hunter asked as he reached out a hand to her. "Oh tish-tosh." The Warlock huffed, putting up one hand in dismissal to his concern. "I am well." She said as she stood up straight, dusting her robe. "Now..." She began again, tucking her arms behind her back formally. "Where is the Titan?" "I'm over here!" The Titan responded his voice muffled. Both the Hunter and Warlock turned their heads to spot the Titan. But he was nowhere in sight. "Haw, haw, haw." The Hunter laughed, practically oozing sarcasm. "If this is some kind'a joke, ya big dope, it ain't funny!" He scowled, placing a hand on his hip as he kicked a paper plate out of his way. "But I'm not joking!" The Titan defending himself, still out of sight. "Well Titan, pray tell, where are your whereabouts?" "Mhm-- Behind youuuu." There seemed to be a level of amusement in the Titan's answer. Amusement. At this inappropriate time. The Hunter growled at the Titan's little game, before stomping a foot. "If you ain't out here in five freakin' seconds--" "Okay, okay, okay, okay, okaaaay." The Titan said as he came out from his hiding spot, appearing behind the Hunter and Warlock. "Hi guys~!" He cheerily greeted his teammates. But the Hunter was the complete opposite of cheery. Whipping around, he still had a frown plastered on his face in opposition to the Titan's happy face. "What. The heck. Were you playin' around for?" The Hunter asked him through gritted teeth. Looking past the Titan, the Hunter saw a fortress of tables and couches. Though the Hunter didn't want to admit, it looked pretty potent. "I wasn't playing!" The Titan explained. "I was doing that thing that you're supposed to do!" "'Supposed to do'?" Both the Warlock and Hunter repeated. "Yeah-huh!" The Titan nodded briskly before explaining further. "You know, when there's a tornado, or hurricane or those thingies that go wooooo wooOOOOOO--" The Titan made a loud, brief imitation of disaster sirens, making both this teammates cringe. "-- And you're supposed to hide under a table when things like that happen! Right?" The Titan finished. The Hunter growled, irritated by his larger, dumber counterpart. "Dude, that was a lesson for freakin' kids!" The Hunter explained, about ready to strangle him. "Will you men cease your childish behavior right now?" The Warlock stepped in, placing a hand on both of their chests to keep anything petty-- in her own perception-- from progressing. "Besides," the Warlock continued, "We have work to do." The Hunter stopped his argument with the Titan to look around himself. At the recovering party goers, at the broken everything, at the mess. "Oh come on!" ____________________________ "A'ight, get out, scram ya moochers!" The Hunter shouted, clearing the guests, the Titan watching beside him. Until something came to him. "Wait." The Titan poked the Hunter's shoulder. "Shouldn't we blindfold them, or something?" He suggested. "... You're serious?" The Hunter gave the Titan a look through his helmet, a look that meant he should shut up now. The Titan didn't need to see his face at all to know the look he was getting shot. "Mff... O-okay, shutting up..." The Titan squeaked. "Thank ya, big guy." The Hunter grunted. "But please, don't hesitate to give me any more of your Einstein, War-nerd equivalent ideas, okay?" "...Are you making fun of me...?" The Titan blinked his optics, finally catching on to the Hunter's snide remarks. "Woah-- Hey-- No. Dude, I would never make fun of ya." The Hunter quickly changed his tone to something more sappy as he took both sides of the Titan's helmeted face with his hands. "You know I love you, dude." The last thing the Hunter wanted was for the Titan to get angry. That, or the Warlock to get angry from the Titan's whining that he was insulting him. "W-well, it's v-very hard to tell sometimes." The Titan whined in response, tucking his arms into his chest. The Hunter could almost swear the Exo was going to pout like a child at any given moment. "Yeah-- Yeah, I know. I know. But what we got, you 'n me, is unbreakable." He continued to soothe his larger friend. The guests passing by the Hunter and Titan to leave gave them looks of sorts. Some wanted to slow down to understand what they were looking at, others couldn't get out of there fast enough.
