We have people on here crying about weapon reforging because they don't want to actually play the game and get drops. Co you imagine grinding mats for a week, spamming guns and not getting the perks they want? They will cry super hard on the forums and get it taken away. I played a mmo for 5 years. (I did this many times) Spent a whole month getting a material, made 300 of one weapon over an entire weekend only to not make the master grade (200%+ stats and doesn't expire) or perfect grade (250%+ stats and doesn't expire) but only making high grades (150%-199% stats and expires). It didn't make me go on their forums and cry or nothing but look at people crying about reforge. I spent way more time on that game grinding and fighting RNG but players here get it easy as they don't need to gather materials to make their gear and yet they still cry. I like your idea but in all honesty, Destiny player base has trouble with the easy grind as it is. MMO style of grind will bring out the infant in many more players.

  • I've played quite a few MMO's myself, and I have to say Destiny's grind does not really feel like a Grind but more like extra time and effort at a slot-machine that has rigged percentage's and then locks you out for a week before you get to try again. I'm not saying the players should have everything handed to them on a silver platter, but other games that came out about the same time as Destiny or even before have had ways to offset the RNG and give the player's more choice in creating stuff they wanted or needed.
