For you guys wanting to start and finish the hard mode raid. It will be extremely difficult for you to do so without this weapon. I have attached a very good video for you to watch and here is a very good step by step list I found on bungie. GET THIS WEAPON!!! The weapon is an Exotic Scout Rifle with full auto. When you have one bullet left you can fire infinitely with more damage per shot at the cost of health. This weapon is the best for the Daughters of Oryx (better known as the Sisters) and Oryx when in the aura of invulnerability. Amazing DPS This is a two part Overall quest XXXX's will denote the separation of the two major quest lines which converge to get you the gun. THE QUESTLINES CROSS OVER THAT IS WHY THE INFORMATION IS PRESENTED AS SUCH To get the Touch of Malice Exotic Quest Raid weapon you can either enter the raid and leave or must first complete the ENTIRE TAKEN WAR QUESTLINE until to get the "Road to Kings Fall" quest. For that QUESTLINE you must defeat The Warpriest, Daughters Of Oryx (Sisters), and Oryx for a special drop from each: a sword fragment, shroud of the sisters, and the Ravenous heart of Oryx himself. YOU ARE GUARANTEED THE DROP EVEN IN A SECOND PLAY-THROUGH ON THE SAME CHARACTER THAT WEEK. You will also need to complete all the Eris Mourn sub-missions (5 calcified fragments, 10 etc.) The first mission you will get from Eris is Hunger Pangs once you gain about 35 calcified fragments you will get the Old Hunger Pangs QUESTLINE. You will be taken to the "Promethean code" mission and at the end where you would normally have a mission end screen a special surprise will happen. Just follow it and you will be fine. Then the Undying Mind strike with taken. In the final boss fight if you are facing where the boss spawns the Hive Boomer who holds the Essence of the Feast will spawn on the right far side darkness door and will spawn at around half the Undying Minds health. Once this is complete you can get a uncharged version of the weapon from Eris Mourn. (See above) You then have to have 45 calcified fragments to proceed in the QUESTLINE Once you have 45 Calcified Fragments you then must acquire 50 hadium flakes and weapon parts. I did a loop in the spawn of the dreadnaught, Hull Breach. Then you must do the Fear mission again at 270 light (the last mission you did before the "road to kings fall was given") where you return to Phobos on the directory of Mars and kill a wizard that spawns at about 25% health left on the echo of Oryx (the last part of the mission). It is a major (yellow) wizard with a void shield. It spawns if you are in the alcove with the door facing the middle of the map on the immediate left. You don't have to complete the mission once you kill it. Then you are granted the weapon. Congrats IF AT ANY POINT YOU LOSE THE QUESTLINE AFTER COMPLETING THE OBJECTIVE AND TURNING IT IN AT ERIS THE REASON YOU LOST IT IS BECAUSE PROGRESS IS ALSO ATTRIBUTED TO TO THE NUMBER OF CALCIFIED FRAGMENTS YOU CURRENTLY OWN. CALCIFIED FRAGMENTS ARE THE TRIGGER THAT PROGRESSES THE QUESTLINE FORWARD. THE MISSION IS NOT GONE. Hard to find fragments: Elusive #29 fragment is on the Kings fall raid in the room with the teleporter which ascends you into the raid on the middle pillar on the right facing the teleporter. This room is right after the two hive tombship puzzles THE ROOM IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SYNC PLATES WITH THE SHRIEKER IN IT. #30 is on the raid as well in the Rune Door Room (Hive are praying at the door) on the right support pillar it's really obvious. #31 is Within the dark maze before Golgorath (not the one after that has a different fragment specified on the Reddit Page). Once entering the maze area just simply take a left then on your next left you take a left. (It's just two lefts guys). At the end of that dead end look on the right corner behind some debris. #36 is the Agronaruct Rune (butchered spelling) it's the legendary rune you acquire. Each day you must go to a different area on the dreadnaught and kill a specific taken major in that area. However what people fail to explain is that YOU CAN TRANSFER THIS RUNE ACROSS CHARACTERS so you can do 3 out of the 7 charges a day. Make sure the last charge is DONE ON THE CHARACTER YOU WANT THE CALCIFIED FRAGMENT ON---VERY IMPORTANT!
