Have you heard the latest? On PSN they offer a booster pack that'll instantly boost one character to level 25 plus weapon telemetries for $24.99 They're preying on the uninformed gamer. Anyone who has been playing this game knows that spending $1 per level to instantly get to lvl 25 isn't worth that kind of investment especially considering the mess they've made of TTK. A purchase like that shouldn't cost more than $2.99 Considering what those of us who have been playing Destiny since the beginning have invested in this game, they've been over charging us all along. $24.99 per character. Obscene.

And next comes the paid loot crates from Eververse.

We already had a sample of that in the festival- Halloween event. Destin Legarie of IGN stated in a podcast that he spent $40 trying to get a mask so that he could complete all the quests for the event. It was IGN money he was spending. It was his job to do all of the quests so he could write an article about the special event. I think it was the cryptarc mask. He couldn't get it to drop just by playing the game like every Bungie apologist claimed so re resorted to paying for RNG to obtain it. When he got to $40 he called it quits. The blue skull didn't drop for him either. He also criticized charging $10 for the SRL record book. $10 for an event that only lasts 3 weeks? He said it should have been free. The direction Bungie is taking this game disturbs me.

I couldn't agree more, but soon it won't be cosmetic items and a Lv25 Boost. Soon it will be gear. Click HERE for my take on that, if interested.

Read it. I hope you're wrong but fear you're right.

I sincerely hope I am wrong. I hope against all logic that this IS 'just an experiment" as Bungie CLAIMS. But sadly... in any game that implements something like this... pay-to-win soon follows. Games like Defiance, Star Wars: The Old Republic, World of Tanks, and so on...
