Title says all. Yes we're getting your invites in tower, no need to send more than one! We TRY to help, and if we are looking to spread our knowledge we'd post on LFG.
Stop hitting up the players who have completed the raid in tower with multiple messages because your "asking" for help is starting to look a lot like begging. Just one is enough. Also, if your friends are raiders and they haven't raided with you yet, the same applies. Stop asking for help for every single little thing because asking for "help" and asking to play with your friend are two completely different things. What to do then? It's simple! Send a message mentioning you're looking to run the raid and if you ever have a spot you're interested. A little politeness goes a long way! You wouldn't knock on someone's door every hour would you? Or call their phone every hour? Just be polite guardians!
TL;DR: Politeness goes a long way. Send a single message, not 100. Mention you're looking to run the raid. Don't beg to be ran through! Please let me farm my strikes and quests in peace otherwise and stop the random multiple invites in the tower! Others feel the same!
Edit: Just to clarify, I HAVE helped people through the raid and don't see a problem doing that. I've gone on LFG, found a group, and helped them out. The problem is being harassed in tower when I have no interest in raiding. Bungie needs LFG in game or some other system.
Edit 2: You guys can look at my stats all you want on Destiny Tracker. Doesn't include my raid gear funnelling Titan who had most of my completions (used him since week 1 and until mid HoW) so it's "low" compared to some troll standards in this convo. Regardless, these stats don't matter. When someone see's 300+ light, they don't care about the previous raids and other stats.
Edit 3: Overall, this could all be solved with some sort of in-game or bungie hosted LFG. Please Bungie, buy out destinylfg as a sign of good faith and implement it into Bungie.net and the companion app!
Edit 4: People getting touchy with the word "experienced". Fair enough, changed the wording and still is the same point. Wrote the initial post in rage.
Edit 5: Clearly people are on opposite ends of this. The people who are having this happen to them understand while the others don't believe it and clearly haven't had it happen to them at this extent. Try doing strikes while having someone spam A on their controller to invite you to raid. Even when you block them, the invites continually go until the queue finishes after 3-4 minutes. All we're asking is for others to be polite and clearly half the people commenting are lacking this. This is one of the reasons why this community is filled with bitching and it's sad. Such a simple solution is too hard.

Hasn't everyone beaten the raid by now
-
I'm gonna start requesting 300+ because I hate non-elitists

9 RepliesProblem: Many of the LFG Users a) don't answer your friend request. b) are stupid like hell. c) don't let you in their fireteam. d) have too high requirements.

Edited by Level 2 on Easy: 10/12/2015 1:03:41 PMPeople do not use common sense. When I post that I'll sherpa, i'll have messages and sob stories still coming in when we're on the first part. People apparently don't know how to look at freaking party details and say "ope, they're full". People have asked if I could raid with them hours in advance, it's like dude, Idk. It's got to the point where I blocked an individual yesterday because the invites were a nuisance. People have no -blam!-ing respect. It's all about them.

2 RepliesEdited by TACCOMGUY: 10/10/2015 11:01:35 PMYeah, it's bad but also expected. I've only had to do this 3-4 times but what really pisses me off is when someone joins uninvited to your raid team. I've had people get DC'd and on their way back in a freaking random jumps in!!! The first words outta their mouth "Hey Bro can you help through the raid"? Me: "If you didn't noticed we're actually right in the middle of raiding, you actually need to bounce because the person who DC'd needs to get back in here". Them: "Oh they DC'd, mind if I take their spot"? Me: "Do you English Bro, I said you took someone's spot who's coming back in!" Them: "I know the fights, there's a couple strategies I'd like to try that I saw on YouTube"... Me: "....*Long Pause*" Me: "So you're a level 275, have never done or finished the raid and you want to show "US" some new strats"? Them: "Yeah, I can hold my own" Me: "*Selects Kick button* "A Dildo has been Removed from Fireteam, Left Party and removed from Friend's List...

Ever since I beat Oryx, it is like I became a God in the eyes of the incapable. Seriously, you have no idea how many people ask me to do any part of the raid with them. Like shit, I want to have some time to myself sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I love helping people and get over a dozen people through the raid a week but that leaves me no time to work on my characters.
-
What's more annoying than that is when your friends spam invites when you are already raiding. Common sense tells you I'm already raiding if Im in a team of 6 on saturn >:(
-
People have to shut up about this. -Raiders who have done it and don't want to beat it again with people who don't have enough light then don't don't except or respond, it's that easy and that's fine. -people who haven't completed the raid need to send invites to others that haven't done the raid but If you find someone that is willing to help then good for you. -raiders who have done it but like to be assholes about it deserve hate they get.
-
But since I broke 300 light yesterday, I feel this may happen to me o.O

HOW TO GET INVITED TO A RAID TEAM 1 : Get lucky once and get a friend to invite you 2 : Be really good at the raid. Know your shit. 3 : Make a reputation for yourself as a good addition to a team 4 : Wait for Tuesday 5 : Get lots of invites from your friends! :D
that's how I did it, and I'm mute! :P
Private message settings. Stop bring a retard.

"Title says it all" Followed by a long paragraph of writing... Lol

I agree ever since I put the damn emblem on I get invites all week. Like I don't want to do oryx 10 times a week.

Edited by blackwolfrunnin: 10/10/2015 9:00:21 PMSTOP sending me random game invites with no context! The least you could do is send me a message telling me you need some help with the raid an let me decide whether or not I want in. Also, replying to my bewilderment with just the word "raid" does not help at all. Some details like light level and how many you need would be nice. WHAT RAID????

"RAGE" *Edit *Edit *Edit *RAGE *edit

Edited by Mon_goose_6474: 9/30/2015 3:50:48 PMI will be in the raid and get invited to at least 4 groups while helping others out. And then right when I get out of it I get invited again. I like helping people but it's just there's so many people wanting my help. Especially since I beat him the first week. That's when it was the worst
-
For real leave us alone
-
Harassment is annoying i would be perfectly fine with a single message then I'm way more likely to take my time to show everyone who needs to see how it's done
-
8 RepliesThis Every time I load into the tower or Reef, I'm swarmed by people staring at my Malice or raid Sniper and spamming me with invites. If I have the gall to ask what they want, it's always "Help me with the Raid please!!!!!!!!!!!!!". I'm fine with being hailed as a god in the Tower... But stop -blam!-ing spamming us. It's annoying as shit
-
You again?
-
I took my completion emblem off hey he has finished the raid let's span him invites instead of just sending one message asking if I can help
-
2 RepliesI literally got called an asshole because a guy asked me to raid and I said na I just finished one. And he went off saying that I think I'm better then him and shit. Like wut.
-
1 Replyim fine with people who alrdy done raid as long as they dont require other people who alrdy completed it
-
Where's the option that says: "I don't care"?

I swear to god some people stalk people in the tower
