Shindig Tips For Mediocre Players

Seen lots of posts about the Shindig quest from Amanda Holiday. Here are a few of the strategies and tips I've experienced so far that I thought might be helpful to other mediocre PvP players: 1. Quit. If you're on a losing team quit it. If you're getting owned - quit the game. You lose rep for dying. (I haven't read it but, I think you may lose rep too if your team loses.) If you're one of those "never quit" people, at least be smart enough to un-equip your last word so you don't lose rep. 2. The exception for quitting a game would be if your team is winning and you're confident they will when. You get around 5% rep for just winning a match. Take your Last Word off and re-equip it around the last 20 seconds or so of the match to get the 5% gain. If this is all you did you could complete the PvP part of the quest even if you're the worst crucible player ever. 20 wins and fvck the crucible til the next overrated exotic requires you to go in to get it. 3. Don't start a match with your Last Word equipped. Give it a couple of minutes to see how you're going to do in a new group. If you're doing good, equip it and play through. 4. Multi-kills and streaks count for more rep than a positive k/d alone. I've actually LOST rep with a positive k/d. In my opinion playing an objective based game is better than playing straight guns up. I love control where I can get multiple kills with my super several times just by lurking and waiting for an enemy team to neutralize and capture a zone. 5. Play DEFENSIVELY. Lurk, hide, RUN! I'm interested in hearing other peoples tips for this quest.
