I was wondering if anyone had a better roll for the NL Shadow, Mine has auto fire, explosive rounds, as well as firefly, and it performs really well in pve and pvp.

Absolutely love this weapon in pvp. Mine has crowd control, high caliber rounds, and outlaw.

17 RepliesFirst, full auto is nice to have... However, I find it to be a waste for a couple reasons. The gun doesn't really have enough accuracy to use it effectively. You can still pull the trigger just as fast, and by squeezing each time I find that it is now accurate that way. Also, roll that perk for rodeo... The first tier perks aren't too great, but rodeo is my preference. And this gun can use a little more stability. The middle perk you want to roll for high caliber rounds, as well as small bore or braced frame. You want high caliber rounds for medium/close range maps where you can stun lock the enemy to a certain extent. Medium to long range maps you want that stability higher. Final perk, hidden hand, Zen moment, outlaw, third eye, spray and play, or crowd control. It is more dependant on how you prefer to play, and what armor you have. Crowd control would actually be lowest on my list. Because of the impact is so low, that the increase is marginal. It may drop it one shot if all are crits... But thats what, 5 instead of 6? And of you miss one crit, it's still 6. The benefit isn't there like hand cannons or high impact scouts. I tried a few different rolls, and full auto feels nice at first, but it falls just a little short. It's very average in many areas, but doesn't really excel in one.

Dismantling it is probably the best.
-
Full auto, hidden hand, and a stability perk.
-
Mine is full auto and spray and play
-
I have 1 with full auto and outlaw
-
I got mine with full auto, hand laid stock and zen moment. I kinda love it. Great stability
-
Mine is arc its called fang of ir yut

This scout rifle looks good on paper but is just outclassed by pulse rifles in all but the largest maps. And let's be honest there's not many big maps.
-
High Road Soldier tops all of HoW dlc Legendary kinetic Scout Rifles!!!!

My best PVP roll...Red Dot-OES/Full AUto/ Armor Piercing and Zen moment. Explosive and Firefly are fun but in PVP I want all the damage at the hit and not an area of impact. Also, Zen give the needed stability without loss of range or ammo.
-
Full auto, firefly. Probably a stability perk.
-
Full auto, hand laid stock , and your preference for third. I use same perks with hidden hand for deadbolt luna
-
Yea basically the same roll but I pick braced frame over explosive rounds as it does great things for its stability.
-
Had this but then deleted it.
-
I hate you... That's the roll I want. Spent countless weapon parts trying to get it.
-
I have one with full auto and spray and play, pretty decent weapon
-
5 RepliesRed Dot Oas or Suresight IS for enhanced and superb target acquisition.. Rodeo or Hidden Hand Braced Frame or Smallbore Zen moment or Third Eye Mine has red dot Oas, triple tap, braced frame, third eye.. This weapon is quite beast in mid-long range maps like Pantheon, Widows Court etc.
-
Dont use ex rounds because together with firefly they hinder eachother. Full auto is good for that gun with high rof. Decent roll. Firefly could be replaced with hidden hand or third eye for pvp.

4 RepliesI got this gun repeatedly to the point where I just want it to go away. I can manage recoil, but this thing feels like a damn shotgun when using full auto. its hard to get precision hits and it feels really unforgiving if you aren't skilled enough (which I admit Im probably not) High Road just feels so much better in my opinion (Plus I can fantasize that Im using the Vision of Confluence) NL shadow needs hidden hand in order to land accurate headshots, so its the first gun that pretty much REQUIRES HH. Also, the massive magazine means you go through ammo faster than an auto rifle.

17 RepliesThe best NL Shadow roll is basically as good as the worst possible High Road Soldier roll. This gun is insanely inaccurate so firefly is useless and explosive rounds negates it anyways. Also, its impact is written incorrectly ingame and in the database. Finally, IT HANDLES LIKE A DAMN AUTO RIFLE

Check my hunter for the best roll!

1 ReplyCheck out mine on my 34 warlock..

1) Full Auto, we'll address stability. 2) Hand Laid Stock, it's not a range gun. 3) Outlaw, Crowd Control or maybe FireFly.

2 RepliesI'm seeing a lot if posts stating that explosive rounds weaken scout rifles due to the way it removes the critical hit and splits it into two physical damages (can't remember the exact numbers or physics). Had it on my NL, so rerolled it and now I have Luck in the Chamber, Crowd Control, with Braced Frame and Focus Lens. I like the Braced Frame for the added stability. The sight is meh but didn't want to lose the CC or the Lucky Cahmber. Need a Etheric Light to see what it can do in Too or Banner, but it sounds like it'll be a beast ... in theory. Anyone have thoughts in this?
