NOT BY ME I hate what Luke Smith said as much as any other angry destiny player right now but this is something I recommend reading.
Shit, I get more than dance moves. I give a rats ass what reddit thinks of it. I'm not rebuying old content, I'm just spending that extra $40 on silly shit. Same reason I spent the extra money on the Fallout 4 collectors edition. Buy the expansion for $40. You don't need the extra stuff. You just want it, but don't value it as much as they are selling it for. But somehow you think you deserve it for you imagined loyalty. What loyalty? You paid for a product. You got a product. That's not loyalty. That's being a consumer. Loyalty would be buying the expansion at $80 even if you didn't like it. But no, that's not happening. So this is real simple. They have a product for sale that you don't want to pay for. Simple solution: don't buy it.
Your thoughts on it?

 • Don't agree. It's missing the point entirely. The content was very clearly designed so that the only way to get "loyalty" extras was to pay for it. The loyalty has nothing to do with having played the game since Day 1, and everything to do with paying extra. The business meeting went as such: DLC price is $40 for DLC with absolutely nothing extra. If people want anything extra, we need to find a way to make them pay for it.
