I need 345 Crucible marks to buy some gear before House of Wolves comes. Even if I cap my marks for the next 2 weeks, I'll be stuck at 344 marks. Please help me Bungie. I just want one more mark DX
Who's bright idea was it to punish late players with arbitrary caps for no reason? Do you hate us that much?

I'm fine with a limited amount you can earn a week. However, I think I should be able to carry 50p instead of 200.
-
I'd be happy if it were a total cap based on number of characters, not a flat X amount each, and the system allowed marks to be transferrable between characters. There's already a shared Glimmer pool, and you can move strange coins and motes of Light, why not also marks?

5 RepliesWhy would you buy gear before house of wolves? Why wouldn't you wait until the expansion and then buy the stronger gear like a smart person?
-
If you raid you dont need marks

They are in place to keep players playing, at least that's what I think. Otherwise I'd have thousands of them.
-
2 RepliesI have been saying this since week 2 when I maxed them out. As if the weekly limit isn't bad enough, having a storage cap is ridiculous.
-
300 mark cap, 150 a week cap. Decrease marks gained from strikes by 1. 40,000 glimmer cap.

8 RepliesThe soul purpose is so people can't stock up on marks for new dlc and such. If we had 500 or 600, people could by almost 4 weapons right off the bat!
-
3 RepliesOk first I do somewhat agree that the cap limit is too low for this far into the game. They should increase marks to 400 and glimmer to 50000 in my opinion. Now on to the next thing..... Why do you call it a punishment that you happen to be 1 credit shy of getting everything you want before it cycles out with the dlc. Could it be because your upset 1 loosy Mark is stopping you? Or because you didn't plan ahead until it was to late? Personally I believe it's the latter. You say late starters are being punished but in all reality this game is easier then it was In the past. Back when this game came out everyone was grinding their asses off trying to hit the max. Back before Christmas they released a patch that actually increased drop rates to HELP the new comers reach the same level as the day one players before the dark below dropped. If that punishing the late starters I guess my defination of the word is off. Again with this dlc bungie is once more making it easier for everyone by doubling exp and marks earned. ONCE again this is to HELP not punish If you still feel ur being punished for starting late I honesty can only say one thing....... Sounds like a personal problem

Lol at people who voted #2.

I hate the glimmer cap more.
-
4 RepliesWait. Why do you want to buy stuff BEFORE House of Wolves launches? Not sure if you were around when Dark Below premiered, but when it did vanguard and crucible legendaries got a MAJOR boost (a full set would get you to lvl 28 before, 30 after). Weapons were likewise empowered. Not sure if this will be the case with Wolves, but I'm definitely saving my marks until I know for sure.

1 ReplyGlimmer cap is bullshit too.
-
7 RepliesIts not punishing the late players. You people will never know the original struggle.

There is a problem with upping the cap. I completely understand where you are coming from. I felt the same back when the game was first launched. It would ruin the game for hardcore players. I play so much that I max out vanguard/crucible with all three characters. Say if this was on one character I would earn 300-400 marks a week. In 1-2 weeks I would have EVERYTHING. For the new upcomers in the game I see where it is frustrating. My advice save your marks for HoW. It is too late to be buying gear. With HoW you will be able to buy gear from vendors which will get you to 32. You can then ascend that to 34. If you have any questions about leveling or advice on how to prep for HoW please ask.

3 RepliesThe forums have been criticizing this since at least Beta. Bungie is simply making it faster to get your cap in a week, and upping the max by 100. So you'll be able to gain 200 per week. A little late though.

4 RepliesPunish late players are you -blam!-img kidding me? Whos fault is it for buying the game so far after release? Sure as -blam!- not actibungies... Quit bitching like a baby. Quit thinking you are entitled... Cuz you are not.
-
At least make it to where u can get 200 a week and have cap at 450

Edited by Mangy Moose: 5/10/2015 7:05:59 PMCaps are a big issue. A lot of people have expressed displeasure on this. I did, too.

3 RepliesWhy buy the gear before HoW...lol...at this point might as well wait n see what gear cost what..or drops where...never stress about gear/weapons right before an xpac that will have more..possibly better
