If u hit him wit the sword enough times he dies

You can start hitting crota before his shield goes down. And you can everyone should know this but holding forward when swordbearing makes you swing the sword quicker.

Idk why people don't know how to use the sword or the relic in VoG. It just blows my mind, it's so simple.

Most useful tip from me to you guys as a swordbearer. Literally go get some reliable friends and experiment on Normal Crota. Develop your own tricks and ways. I have practiced soo much and the only useful tip I got was to push forward with your analog stick while slamming the sword down to hit faster. The rest I kinda watched other people and made my own little tricks.

I hit 5-5 which usually gets him between the T and O of Crota on Hard mode.

My main tip, once you get good at getting four slams each down on Crota on normal difficult, move to hard. Also, just stay calm. I remember how hard my heart was beating when I first started haha. Anyone else had that? In addition, the little box/platform that the chalice is on while playing normal is the best place to sit. I usually equip the swordbreaker and jump on top of that box. Crota cannot shoot you. Just keep maneuvering around the box(avoiding curse thrall and swordbeaer). Pump him full of shells. This is how I usually get three downs in on Crota. The swordbeaer should stay very close to you. Once he is dead, pick up the sword and immediately tell your team to fire. Jump directly onto the stage (not going to rocks) and he should be down(if your team is good). Once he stands up, count to 2 and have your team shoot before he returns to his normal color(he is red and will be immune. Counting to 2 then firing rockets will hit him the exact second he is able to take damage again). Repeat. Very easy two sword on hard. Edit: Thanks for the feedback guys. I can only kill crota in one sword on my warlock and not my hunter wtf

If you're going up on the rocks on the right to prepare to hit Crota, ALWAYS GO ON THE HIGHER ROCK, I have been shot to death by Crota too many times while standing on the lower rock. Only get 3 hits in per down, don't be greedy, the punishment for greed is death by gigantic sword up your ass Use some sword slashes in midair to get out of there quickly Use your rockets to down the Swordbearer, you won't need them for anything else PLAY IT SAFE, you are the most important part of the team's success when you're the Swordbearer, if you die it messes everything up

hey man, I started running sword on my hunter back in normal but converted to warlock & now will never go back to hunter for hard mode...the self-res is far more useful than the invisibility, especially being that you get one blink strike per sword...& if you're doing triple downs you're stuck running back to rock twice anyways! what's one more time on a class that's better suited for any situation.? anyways though, my first tip would be start out on a hunter normal mode first. Being that the invisibility it a super easy button for normal mode & it's a good way to learn. I don't do normal anymore very often. So on hard mode, hit 3-5 smashes. it's hard to hit the uppercut combo properly unless you're right up there AS he's going down. the combo I'm speaking of is RB+RB+RT x2 plus one extra RT at the end of it. I usually hit 4 RTs per down. 3 swords, as doing triple downs is a little tough for me on warlock. hunters is easier in my opinion for triples. so I just do doubles as it's safer in my opinion. If you're on hard mode & you miss a sword for whatever reason, kill the ogres fast & run straight back to your strat as opposed to going back to the crystal & waiting for Crota to rotate right & back to middle. as you're in ogre room he will be rotating to left, you have to get him when he goes back to middle rather than waiting for an extra rotation or the enrage timer will hit. that's ONLY if you happen to miss a sword though. unless your team is experienced & synchronized enough to get him on the sides, which is pretty rare. I've only done it a select few times & it was not w. Randoms. also, left rock is much better to jump on being that Crota can't hit you if you're positioned properly. on right rock, top or bottom, if he's towards the left of the platform he can hit you. I use boomer bubble strategy & jump up left rock. except for when it's time for ogres, I always bring it right at that time so my fireteam can jump in the boomer bubble & grab Blessing on the way down for that extra safety. also, if your titan uses Gift of the Void, he spawn additional orbs as the boomers hit his bubble. which is very helpful for your fireteam on the way down to ogre room. I hope my tips will go to some use...if you need any other questions answered feel free to ask! also a tip, if you're using a warlock, do NOT self res until Crota has rotated. otherwise he will kill you as soon as you spawn again. it's best to just skip that sword unless you know what your timing is left & are confident you can hit him if they down him again & the oversoul in time.
