If true I'm done with consoles. Making old ones obsolete so I have to get a new one. -blam!- that I'm moving to PC
-
Maybe they give you a "appreciation" package.
-
That would be very awesome but tech in general is starting to piss me off with planned obsolescence.
-
That's how just about every evolving device works
-
True but still planning to make something not usefull that once was is not OK to me.
-
It's how they make money, and you get a better product anyway
-
For what a year? Its better but not as good as it should or could be in the name of money. Its the same with video games now a days. Cut back on making the best game possible in order to squeeze more money out of the consumer. Its how they get their money sure, but it still doesn't make it acceptable.
-
Umm, the last Xbox lasted 7 years before a new one came out, so not just a year.
-
You know what I mean its moved passed Xbox we are talking about planned obsolescence in general. Microsoft is planning to make their old console obsolete because of how poor sales are for next gen consoles. Not enough games make getting one seem pointless, It is why games like destiny are still on 360 because they wouldn't make enough just selling to the new consoles. They want me to buy the new console by forcing my perfectly fine one to be practically useless. That is not a business model i can agree with it. How can anyone defend this shitty practice?
-
But new consoles are better, so you can have a better game play experience of you get one. It seems like you would be happy if developers just stopped trying to make better content so you don't have to pay for it.

Source?
-
Search.
-
Meh didn't find a legit source. Doesn't affect me anyway
-
Well, maybe they will say something about it again before the summer and fall. The 360 has reach the end of the life cycle, just as it predecessor.

Edited by fraggumz: 3/7/2015 4:43:08 PMVery true I wish I could have used the 360 discs and arcade games on the xb1
-
They stated that upon Xbox one release.
-
Only thing I heard was the dude that got fired saying "if Xbox one isn't your style, get the 360"
