The matchmaking, on top of the terrible map that encourages camping, solo queue of death, non-stop invis hunters, constant OS titans, warlocks with tracking melees and an ability that can literally track you around walls. A helmet that allows any and all high impact primaries to one shot body you. I really just can’t even begin to understand what you’re thinking anymore Bungie.
This is easily one of, if not the absolute worst trials weekend to date since before Shatterdive got nerfed.

We are once again in a meta of avoiding straight up one on one engagements at all costs, instead everytime you pick a fight with someone they throw a duskfield at you that makes your primary to 50% damage to them, or they use a barricade that gives them an overshield, or they pop a rift that shoots a void soul at you. Everytime you pick a primary fight you lose to a fusion rifle in primary range. This game has never had a huge skillgap but its gotten to the point where I just had zero confidence queuing up trials anymore because my skillset is irrelevant to the current meta. Which sucks because I typically find trials to be a lot of fun. But in this sort of meta I am more than happy to not participate Edit: I just now did a freelance flawless card at the suggestion of another poster and I will admit that it is not bad. However freelance has always attracted generally worse players who are less aware of the meta and the game in general so I dont think it is an accurate sample for the state of proper trials. Stacked trials has always been where the best, most coordinated teams put together the best loadouts they can use to win and I have no doubt that if I were to play that with friends it would be pretty bad. Last time I ran stacked trials it was a 3 stack of invis hunters with fusions in every lobby, and that was at the end of last season. I can only imagine it is worse now.
