Why not more important things like Power Level , Subclass, Activity Clears, Our Healthbar , Date we joined Bungie etc.
Would it be asking too much to let us choose

Psychology. Bungie knows some weak minded fools will see the number and think “I want to be like him”. The fool will inspect the higher level, then spend money on cosmetics that they have. That’s the theory. I wish it was only that, but fools keep proving it correct.

so we can judge for for hoping into trials at lvl 5 with legacy gear on
-
All I really want mine to say is “Your Mom was Here”
-
So Dem Guys with numbers like 464, 332,264, 768, and las but not least 321 can feel extra special about themselves. All about the epeen… That and they obviously have no life
-
Because size matters...... Sorry, all out of salt! Lol.....
Why not more important things like Power Level , Subclass, Activity Clears, Our Healthbar , Date we joined Bungie etc. Would it be asking too much to let us choose
Because its still our level, before the battlepass it showed our level which was maxed at 40 wasnt it (this was 2 years ago and something you don’t really notice)
-
8 RepliesIt should show their internet connection.
-
Why is there a display at all? A gamertag is enough (in my opinion)
-
I'd rather my displayed stat be the number of times I was errored out of an activity.

1 ReplyI guess that Bungie think it encourages player engagement in the seasonal rank system. Someone in player engagement and retention probably imagined something like “Woah, look at that cool player with a rank of 673. I’m only at 27, I’ll need to get grinding this season……”. While in reality nobody gives a toss what seasonal rank other people are.
Would it be asking too much to let us choose
Yes

2 RepliesHealth/Class/Subclass Type. It cannot be that hard to have that info up for each person on your fire team. NO ONE CARES what season level someone is.
-
3 RepliesI never have understood why they went with season rank instead of power level.
-
Now that you mention it, it is a really weird decision. Just looking at it from a player perspective, having someone else's season pass rank above their head does nothing for me. It conveys 0 useful information.
-
1 ReplyDoesn’t bother me, I’d just like to see the health bar of my teammates.
-
I don't know why we need anything above our heads except our health bar.
-
2 RepliesIt was our class for a while and it was really cool, love the idea of subclass tho
-
5 RepliesEdited by RichGhost77: 4/9/2022 9:30:01 AMIt should show anyone that is on the s-e-x offenders list.
-
Lmfao!!! When I see this kind of stuff I realize Destiny is in a great place. Can we get sparrow horn now?
-
4 RepliesLeave it as it is. Emblems have all kinds of stats that you can choose to display. No need to divert bungie resources for something so minor that you are probably the only person in the world that even thought about it.
-
Because it’s a flex. Duh.
-
Class was a much more useful thing to see above heads. They could be colored for subclass too which could be a cool addition.
-
Of all the things that need fixing in this game, this is what bothers people?
-
All it should show is class.

59 RepliesEdited by Aether, Primordial of Lght: 4/9/2022 8:01:14 PMShould be a standard Icon(s) of Class and Subclass. So for example: Hunter Icon emblem and then Subclass (Example: Void). If the player has their super the icons light up Yellow/Gold so teammates know who has their super up. (so to clarify as some idiot keeps asking me, a more definitive clue to when your teammate has super, a much brighter/clearer mark/notification/hint - the little tiny shine on someones name in the middle of a boss fight/Trials round we currently have just isn't good enough, imo... ... I wouldve thought this would've been common sense but apparently ive overestimated some peoples thought process on here).
