I wasn't able to play the old raids because I only knew one person and didn't know of this website back then. I also didn't even consider that soloing some encounters may be possible. Well, upon finding out about this site after beyond light launched, I started raiding a ton and was upset that I didn't do the now gone raids. I don't really care for the armor too much, but it really bothers me that there is no way to get the old shaders from those raids (like Calus' Nr.1 or Midnight Smith, for which I went in the corresponding raids alone, but didn't achieve anything, unsurprisingly), especially now that we can buy the sparrow from SotP in the Monument of Lost light. So I wondered if it could be possible to put those in said Monument for maybe around 60 or 120 spoils of conquest per shader, so that it's still exclusive to raiders like before, which could make more people start raiding and so not everyone can get them without any effort at all. The best solution IMO would be bringing back the Raids themselfes so you can actually earn them and because I want to do them :), but this will either never happen at all, or take a very long time, so idk about that.

1 ReplyDefinitely no. Let ppl that did play these raids have sth special.

I could be wrong but I think those are included in the Y1 shader pack available from Eververse for glimmer.

And base armors of raids for spoils as well

5 RepliesI played the -blam!- out of Black Armory and never saw a weapon with the Satou Tribe shader and would love a way to get it now.

4 RepliesAlthough it has no real relevance to my life whether you have them or not, I do think there has to be somethings you can only get from doing the activity. Very much like I'm never going to the lighthouse.

3 RepliesI've played most, if not all the content d2 has to offer, and i have most of the stuff from the past that isn't available anymore. But I also want players that didnt get it to have a chanch of getting it, its stupid that people dont want this just because it makes them feel special, if I have a new player walk up to me and say "oh thats cool where did you get that?" I dont want to tell them sorry you cant get it anymore, and now there being tortured staring at me knowing they cant get it, it leaves a sour taste. I think the only thing that should be exclusive is emblems, because that shows you were there without the, oh this shader would be perfect my look but I cant get it anymore feeling. The colors you want to wear shouldn't be exclusive.

This would simply make too much sense for Bungie to add in. No surprise.
-
2 RepliesIf that were to happen I feel the vets should get unique special variants of the shaders, ie glowing purple accents for calus’ treasured as an example. These old raids will come back one day, but I feel like those who were there should keep that exclusiveness through something unique. Just like those who went flawless in trials of the nine got unique ornaments for the flawless, and regular variants of the armors as well as the knights peace shell and shaders.

Only thing in my opinion that shouldn't be in there monument is the emblem everything else definitely should be available
-
Edited by Phoenix: 4/9/2022 4:57:22 PM'Cause they're vanity items only. Only reason why Always On Time is in there is because it was, and still is, the only exotic sparrow with all of the best perks in one(not to mention it is the fastest sparrow). Adding vanity items into the Monument of Lost Lights would cause high demands for anything that players could not obtain before they were made unavailable, which would then cause the monument to become a secondary Eververse.

Ehh… idk, IMO it should be armor or shaders, but not both. There should be limited-time rewards for the dedicated players who “were there”, you know? So long as they don’t affect gameplay, of course. Otherwise, where is the incentive to ever actually commit to the game? In something like Halo, I would expect every cosmetic to forever be available. It’s SUPPOSED to be a game that simply rewards people for completing challenges and getting better at the game, with cosmetics that show off your skill as a player. Destiny, on the other hand, is quite literally a looter-based game - which does inevitably mean part of that is going to be time-gated loot, and if we’re being fair here three years was plenty of time to get the Leviathan shaders and whatnot. Also, and this is just my opinion btw, but I think Destiny should have exclusive loot that’s timegated. People can say whatever they want about it being “just wanting to flex”, but is that not the POINT of a looter in the first place? Why does getting better loot matter if it has no special value? When I see someone with the blacksmith or reckoner title, I know they’re a long-time hardcore fan of the game who’s been playing for years at this point. Similar story with Gambit Jadestone, at least before this season - if you had it, I know you tortured yourself with seemingly endless gambit in Season of the Dawn. Looters need special loot. That’s how they work. Obviously it’s designed to be addicting, but the idea is quite literally to be able to flex and show off. That’s like one of the core tenants of any looter, and Destiny is no different. So making weapons, and maybe armor OR a shader accessible? Okay, we can talk about it, but games like this need that “I was there” incentive. Even something as simple as a shader or an armor piece should in this game should ideally have some degree of emotional investment - and if you can just buy it whenever you want, even if that requires playing other raids in order to do so… it takes away from something people find special. Kind of a long-winded way of saying “no lol”, but I do want to clarify - I don’t think it should be 100% you’re there or you get -blam!-. But maybe a decent compromise, would be to say offer Calus’s selected and the normal Leviathan armor, but keep Calus’s treasured and the prestige armor forever locked away - though admittedly that doesn’t translate as well to the other sunset raids.

Good idea, I agree.
-
Because you'll get the crowd who says "you should've been there" or " I earned my stuff so no one else should ever have a chance at getting cool cosmetics" ( paraphrasing that one but you get the point)

Add a title for guided games that you can gild. Guided games are a lot of fun, but they have next to zero incentives these days.

Idk it's like I get the whole *you weren't there* vibe but also I can't tell you the last time I used Midnight Smith

Great idea, but we all know, that they never do that. Cuz it would ruin their FOMO economy, and future addition of recycled content.

I’ll farm spoils for that.
