Youre given the choice where any game you choose will be turned into a movie with the best of the best production. the best directors, the best CGI/special effects, best actors etc, basically the budget for the movie is cranked all the way to 11
What game would you pick? I'd either pick DOOM eternal or an assassins creed (yes I know both has gotten a movie before but they were kinda forgettable and I'm saying this as a diehard DOOM and assassins creed fan lol)

Mass Effect so I can milk that -blam!- for like a 9 movie saga.
-
Mass Effect, the world is so big ,with so many established events across so many civilized species, it wouldn't even have to be about Shepard, could take place before or after the games I could easily make 20 full 10 episode seasons from the mass effect lore

Halo by Peter Jackson.

Armored Core. The animation. Or.... Or! Ace Combat. Probably also animated.

I would’ve said uncharted but that was already made… so maybe a Horizon Zero Dawn prequel? Or an Apex legends show? I think Destiny also has massive potential for show or film… IDK, many good games out there -

The Yakuza franchise. I tried to think of something that wasn't too fantastical and video gamey that if someone didn't know it was a video game movie they wouldn't be able to tell. Also, something that would be relevant regardless of the social zeitgeist. Who doesn't like crime movies with karaoke scenes?

Bad Company 2 - Has really good characters and some funny stuff too. Gears of War 1-3 - The story is compelling. All they'd have to do is copy the scripts of either game, but Hollywood would make them both unrecognizable.

Honestly I would have to pick breath of fire III All those different types of npc species and monsters to battle not to mention all the different dragon forms the main character could change into

The Last Guardian(originally Oh Underscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscoreunderscore Oh’s idea). Seeing the relationship between the Boy and Trico develop on screen would be beautiful. DETROIT: Become Human if they don’t go overboard with the signaling. The game is entirely centered around its story so it can’t be that hard to write. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. I’ve actually never played the game and know nothing about the story or its movie adaptation potential. I’m just doing this because I want to make the dream of every respectable actor come true and let them recite that speech on the big screen. You’re welcome. I might add more later.

Ironic as it may seem, Density has some killer movie potential. But I'll just leave it as that since this isn't the forum to talk about it. Other than that, I kinda wanna see how a God Of War movie would turn out.

2 RepliesI've actually thought about this a lot in the past and I think my choices may raise a few brows: The Last Guardian and Journey.

Shadow of War would make a pretty good movie. Some of the sidequests would need to be stripped out, but the main campaign is good and i've always felt it fit very well thematically with LotR, if not exactly canonical.

Sniper elite, I wanna see them try to film one of those killcams, and also, the budget isn’t everything in a film, tall girl 2 had 24.5 million dollars and they still made… that

Either something for Halo or No Man's Sky. ARK would work as well.
