If it's a 5 second time window or a 15% increase in damage, tell me that. Stop saying things like, "This mod will give you big damage for a small amount of time" and just say "This mod will give you a 15% increase in damage for 5 seconds." Please?
edit: The point of the post is that, instead of using ambiguous terminology in-game and forcing players to rely on outside sources for relevant info, that it should just be an actual number/percent: in-game.
The studio's reliance on its biggest fans doing their work for them is becoming a crutch.

Why not just look it up,it’s not that difficult. It just takes effort.

23 Repliesso many apologists in the comments... what if game communities as a whole, just stopped being doormats & making excuses/apologies for exploitative and predatory gaming companies that are always seeking to do the bare minimum while charging the maximum with very little thought for quality of life, if any at all. just imagine.

I'm 100% with you! Give us the numbers Bungie! NOW, no need to wait another decade for this.

5 RepliesLight.gg, thank me later
-
1 ReplyAgreed, and not just that, the description is often incorrect or misleading: Mobility, resilience, signifiant damage increase for an extended time… Better description and numbers are way overdue in an almost 8y old game.
-
Most streamers will sound absolutely stupid if we have real numbers What is up guys, it's ur boooy reek cakis here, today, we're gonna look at how this 20% damage buff perk will make my 360 mg that best DPS in game Big shout out our sponsor, I spent 200 engrams trying to get this God roll gnawing hunger, as you can see my 11% buff is absolutely shredding those red bars most garbage build videos that we constantly see every 3 days would be spotted so much easier by new players
-
This has always baffled me. And why do guns have hidden stats that you can only see on sites like light.gg? Put the game info in the game UI…seems basic.
-
Yeah, this is a huge pet peeve of mine, and it always irks me when people go like "iT's NoT tHe KiNd Of GaMe", miss me with that ignorant bullshit. Every other game that has build crafting at some form or another gives you numbers, same for those without. Do you know how stupid it sounds to say for example, something like FFXIV where Gunbreaker's No Mercy says "Increases damage by a moderate amount?", like how much is a moderate amount? Give me numbers. Compared to what it currently says, "Increases damage dealt by 20%". Even Warframe's buildcrafting gives you numbers, same with the mods themselves so you know how effective something is without a vague description that'll have you scratching your head how much something does by a "decent" amount. "This perk increases weapon damage when rapidly hitting targets" Great, how much? "This weapon does bonus damage vs bosses, and Guardians in super" Ok, cool, how much? 15%? 20%? Vorpal weapon is a prime example I can think of where the weapon type is different, 20% for primaries, 15% for special, 10% for heavies. WHICH WOULD BE GREAT TO KNOW IF YA KNOW, THE PERK GAVE THOSE NUMBERS
-
Agreed - and I want to see all my active buffs, not just 4!

Big thumbsup for such a small post.

1 ReplyEdited by ChronoRabbitN7: 4/10/2022 5:08:25 PMThe reason where there are percentages and vague descriptions is that so the values can be adjusted on the server side of things immediatly without waiting for hotfixes, for a % or words can remain static while a number such as "X out of 100" needs to be changed to the different value like "X out of 50" on the interface etc.

6 RepliesBut when elden ring does it, it's "they just don't want to hold your hand" lol Gaming is full of double standards
-
I agree. One example of where this is desperately needed is with enhanced perks. I was lucky that someone made video covering enhanced perks before I bought enhanced kill clip. The perk description is incredibly vague and it turns out the enhanced version only increases the duration by something 0.5s with no increase to the damage. All perks should display their duration and numeric value of their benefit in the perk description.

QoL - I’m in

1 ReplyI 100% aggree. Best example is the perk "Impulse Amplifier" It says it gives a "massive" boost to velocity, but in reality its just ~15% lame
-
For real. I always joke about how Bungie loves making things in this game ambiguous for no reason. Lol.
-
It's because people will be able to see how hard they nerfed something that's why the do percentages instead of cooldown timers
-
2 RepliesAll I know is, don’t trust enhanced perk descriptions
-
Bro I hate *3%* done, like wtf tell me how many kills I need
-
I’m with you on this. Don’t pull the MMO-like experience card and go half-assed. If you are really serious about build crafting, give up the numbers.
-
1 ReplyWould be nice if you didn’t need to look up things up to know the gist of a perk or mod.
-
I really appreciate that we can now see weapon stat values in game, this would also be great!

Good post come on bungo

Well said. I completely agree.
