I'm all for acute burns...

[b]But dem snipers bungie, Holy Ghost.[/b] Honestly I dont mind the GM's being more challenging due to burns, however I do think 50% received is a tad too much, maybe 35-40% would be better and allow us to actually survive any form of hit with resists applied, especially with the orb nerfs and protective light nerfs. Take SABER for example. I ran Well-lock, running 90 Resilience, arc, solar resits and a sniper resist. Still got one shot [b]INSIDE[/b] a [b]Well[/b] with a [b]Healing Rift [/b]down. That to me isn't challenging content. Its a mode/enemy stacked hard against you and your team when when you are prepared - that's not hard, its broke. I understand Snipers are meant to have one shot potential, but atm its not even worth sniper resists as even with it your dead. Boss phases are actually less challenging than coming up across sections with snipers in them. Like I said - all up for GM's being a bit more of a challenge, but if this is the route - then allow us a better way to receive loot at the end for the extra challenge/time. 6 Plug 1's with the same Cornered roll is not what I think of as time well spent.

  • I was fine with gms before but I did 5 scarlet keep runs and I’m done with gms for the season, maybe if it works out to silicone on arms dealer I might try again. But the adept weapons are so minutely better that I dont want to invest 30-40 minutes into the most boringly frustrating activity for a marginally better weapon than I already have.

  • Finished my Gilded Conquerer last night and yes GMs are a little more difficult than before but it just means you have to build into the burns a little more. I personally had a blast this season. You’ll go through a few more lives than before but we had a lot of fun figuring out what works and what doesn’t. FreezeLock was still the play for us on Glassway. Use Lucent Finisher and Ghally every overload in sight. As for Lightblade we used 2 Invis hunters Kept to the right side on the Moth Path Ghornd everything Two tailed fox is also very good in this GM for lightbearers When the boss is down to 2/3 health Barriers and lightbearers all spawn in mid. Melt them with Ghorn immediately. Don’t stick together when damaging boss. Jump, Jump Jump! Use the arches in the ceilings for cover against splash damage. Stay away from walls. Keep rotating! Good Luck out there!!! Keep Charging & Persevere!!!

  • I don't care about the burn. In GMs you will always play carefully. 95% of the stuff that kills you with the burn will kill you without. Snipers aren't a big issue but annoying, especially since they randomly zapp you without even taking aim. You stick out your head from behind cover and they zapp you. The next moment you stand there still for 5 seconds and they don't react at all.

    • These kinds of anecdotes always reaffirm my choice to simply ignore GMs. Sorry to the people that are probably just as frustrated as you seem to be. Hopefully it gets toned down.

      • They’re a bit much right now compared to their rewards for me to be really invested. I’ve already gotten solid rolls on the other weapons. The title’s the only reason to try it right now. Difficult things are great, just so long as Bungie realizes GM completions are going to be down this season and way more of them are going to be on Arms Dealer than any other…

      • It feels like Bungie are trying to force you off of support supers the only way they can without nerfing the classes themselves. Not saying its right, but the alternative is nerfing us directly. All I've used on my warlock so far is stasis because the turret and super are far more useful than the well is. The well keeps you stuck in one place and barely gives you anything as an overshield, stasis keeps anything from even shooting you. Bubble is also worthless, it gets trashed easily even with high resilience and again, you're trapped in one place. Stasis warlocks and hunters with the new gauntlets are your friends.

        • it just shows they don't play test.. i don't see how any game tester goes through this or a new strike GM and says "yup that's good." If they want to make adepts harder to obtain, put out that intent, but boost the loot probability for legend and lower... Ive four manned the raid already, but a GM being this time consumingly difficult doesn't make it challenging.... it's -blam!- ignorant.

            I did saber first try. Wasn’t hard at all. FYI resilience doesn’t mean -blam!- in GMs now. You can have 100 resilience and a resist mod and you’ll still get 1 tapped by a sniper. You have to run either double arc/solar/void mod or double sniper mod to survive I ran double arc/solar resist mod and riskrunner. I took a hit from the skiff and it didn’t even break my shield
