Gambit Prime returning could both save gambit and act as the competitive gambit mode

Yes, I know, heresy right? But please, hear me out. Gambit has obviously been getting some spotlight, whether it be grinding for the memento or going for the Reckless Endangerment ornament, I'm pretty sure if you rule out the "Gjally/Truth Spammers" it has honestly gotten a lot better However, although I haven't fully researched this (so feel free to correct me), Gambit has not peaked since Gambit Prime back when Season of the Drifter launched, I'm now gonna go on a small tangent as to why Gambit Prime was the peak and enjoyable before I explain why bringing it back could work skip to the ">" if you want to get to the point Gambit Prime brought a new style of Gambit to the playing field, new weapons which some people loved (Spare Rations anyone?), but most importantly it brought in what was debatably the best as well my favourite part to this addition, the introduction of roles that gave perks to helped a team honestly going around as a Sentry was some of the best moments I had in Gambit, the idea of being the thing that separated the enemy from my team's bank was exhilarating, and doubled with the fact I was a warlock, I easily could help my team and deny invaders, but anyway > My reasoning 1. As of right now, there are three armour sets with perks, the seasonal armour that gives Intel, the iron banner armour that gave more tokens if I recall correctly, and of course Artifice Armour, so it's not like there aren't unique armour perks anymore. So let that be the starting reason, "new" (re-released) armour additions, ones that genuinely benefit the team and the player. 2. It felt like more than just a standard variant of Gambit, this could just be because it was only one round instead of two at the time, it was the first(/only) time we saw new Gambit maps, it introduced a fourth blocker variant, it was honestly a grand rework of a gamemode that desperately needed it. If Trials of Osiris is allowed to be a glorified Elimination variant, what's wrong with a glorified Gambit variant. 3. Vanguard has Grandmaster Nightfalls for Adept Weapons and Challenge, Crucible has Trials of Osiris, Gambit doesn't have anything in terms of endgame worth. Now what if we had Adept Gambit Weapons? Some weapons I feel would do great with such variants, Servant Leader could honestly make a great adept weapon with its perks (plus if one checks Light gg it is currently rated the best 260 RPM scout) It would give reason to genuinely play Gambit, otherwise there really isn't much to play Gambit for, I'm sure multiple people can agree. Feel free to comment any sort of thoughts, whether hate, or simple things I can add to the post to prove the point further, that's all

 • I just made a post on the same thing. Labs is a winner and I hope it stays. Now some good old prime weapons and Gambit will be once again on my top things to run.
