Now that gally has kinda been fixed I have a few ideas to improve gambit.
1. When someone invades have them with a set weapon like a scotch cannon but somethings new and not busted this would completely solve all the annoying weapons cough dmt cough.
2. When you invade you invade your team. I know this seems dumb but hear me out. Before you have you primeval up if you don’t kill your teammates you loose motes. When your primeval is up when you kill a teammate it still heals your primeval but slightly heals you opponent’s or removes a few motes depending on the stage they are on, it will also grant your other teammates a small amount of ammo and ability energy.
3. Have a special portal to invade the other team (this is part of the last one) that requires red motes to charge and for every enemy you defeat they loose a lot of motes or heal a large chunk of their primeval depending on the stage. The red motes drop from high value targets and special red glowing enemies. It would take 20 motes.
4. Remove the boss health gate and add new and interesting bosses.
Thats all. If you guys at bungie do the first you can avoid 2 and 3. All of these I think would make the mode very fun. Also have a interesting change every season to keep it fresh.

The first idea sounds interesting. Maybe giving an invader like an eye of riven, but have it be better or give more benefits per kill. I also like the idea of having to charge a portal rather than having it passively charge up. That way invading becomes a gamble rather than an absolute boon. I dislike the idea of invading your own team since it would allow for hella cheese with a coordinated team.
