I’m going to appeal to the ‘greedy’ side of Destiny here. Maybe speaking their language will help them actually understand but doubt it so bear with me. BD is irrelevant to the convo
Ships= Cosmetic Loading Screen
Sparrow= Cosmetic Transportation
Ghost Shell= Cosmetic Mod Holder
All of these items are cosmetic in nature.
All of these items are purchased via Eververse.
All of these items cost silver.
Making us waste vault/storage space on cosmetic items is antithetical to their purpose.
Making us waste resources upgrading and pulling from collections is antithetical to their purpose
In my experience and after talking to a lot of ppl about it has led to a relatively unanimous conclusion
relative because some ppl just don’t care about cosmetics so any changes are irrelevant to them personally
It has led to a reduction of silver purchases. Ppl are buying less silver exactly BECAUSE the cosmetics aren’t just cosmetic.
Yes, the ‘material cost’ of upgrading ghost shells and pulling from collections is fairly low but it’s not zero. It’s also why I brought up the storage implications above
There is a growing sentiment from ppl that buy silver. We are buying less. A lot less. We can only use one at a time anyway and have hundreds in collections that we don’t touch because of it
TL;DR- If you want more money and more silver purchases, equipment transmog is the solution
If you’re ok with a significant reduction of silver purchases and the reduction of income growth for your investors, keep doing what you’re doing
