Will it be a movie series? Was kinda hoping for an animated series like the Arcane that would focus on different parts of the lore each episode.

IMO, do it in anime or animated. Live action will limit it I think. The scope. So many idiots think “Oh! Marvel and DC do it, we can too!” But it just keeps failing. Some things you can adapt to live action, that gamescom TWQ trailer? See THAT is a good slice, but people think oh just slap that live action on everything and it works……it won’t, it has to be implemented with a well made storyline, that has a smaller scope. As soon as you start expanding that scope, the limitations of live action start showing.

Destiny isn’t really unique in a way where live action couldn’t work. In fact I would imagine it would be more successful as a live action series than an animated one. With an animated series they would drastically alienate potential viewers. If Game of Thrones was animated it wouldn’t of been nearly as popular with the mainstream. A good story is a good story. Live action or animated doesn’t change that. But more people will watch live action over an animated series. That’s all assuming it’s good. If it’s bad then animated or live action won’t really matter lol. Personally I’ll give it a shot animated or live action as long as it’s not an anime. I personally hate the art and music style of anime and there’s really nothing good enough to make me want to watch it. But that’s just me.

I just find it funny how live action has a strangle hold on media and peoples minds for decades lol 😂 and your are correct in that it’s “better” for more money to pander to the lowest common denominator for wider distribution. But your not wrong, if it’s a good story, it doesn’t matter what format it is in.

Personally the main issue with animated series is it’s inability to feel real. Emotions from a good actor/actress will always look better anything someone could draw. I can get invested in an animated characters story plot but it’s never able to send the same message as an actual person. Things as simple as tears just look so “meh” when animated. This of course is all assuming the actors are good in the live action scenes lol.
