While I'm not for caps by any means (I don't think they actually serve much purpose in a game where players can't trade with each other and cause inflation/deflation) I'm kind of surprised people are really having this much issue with materials. I'm slowly building materials and am more at a point where i need to keep grinding to build out my arsenal as opposed to overflowing and not having anything to invest them in. I can see a situation where I've got everything crafted at the end of the season and have so much material that I can nearly craft all of the desirable weapons next season as soon as i have the patterns.
My only real annoyance is that we don't permanently unlock perks on guns. Seems like a needless time sync. It would be cool if they were entirely unlockable and got like a sick black border or something stupid to say you did it. Add another meaningless chase.

TLDR: The gap in cost between Neutral and Special elements(adroit, mutable, etc) is too disparate, causing issues when trying to spend some elements to avoid capping. I didn't realize the caps were so low until I hit Adroit elements wall all the sudden trying to get the cabal bow pattern unlocked. I had two bows ready to extract but both only had Adroit available and I was at 248/250, (the last two I needed to unlock the frame). That would be fine, I could have crafted something else first, but the sheer amount of neutral elements required to craft some other weapon first (in order to spend some adroit), is just staggeringly high in comparison. So, since we have to be so choosy with our neutrals, I essentially just had to just burn 22 Adroit to go ahead and get the bow shaped so I could start lvling it.
