I never liked arcstrider because each super tree feels exactly the same. Personally I hope that when Arc 3.0 comes out, Arcstrider gets the super split into the arc staff and a ranged super that lets you throw lightning bolts like Zeus.

Pop it and all nearby allies gain the buff for a duration. Have it buff movement speed, reload speed, jump height, recovery, etc.

  • Thats the experiment they're doing with the synaptic spear

  • Personally I feel like a ranged arc hunter super defeats the purpose of a close ranged subclass. Honestly, would be cool to see warlock get something like the wizards tho

  • The issue is that all three super trees for arcstrider feel too similar, whereas titans got a version of the super that is both roaming and ranged with missile and warlock has a roaming and ranged with the kamehameha.

  • Yeah the super on all trees feels different at most. I really hope that 3.0 combines some of them together. Having the counter/party, smaller hitbox dodge, and the bonus dodge melee damage from top tree super would make the super the most complex super in the entire game. While I don't see any dramatic changes to arcstrider the possibility of seeing a new and improved arcblade could be a reality. Its far too early but I have my hopes up for 3.0

  • I'm all but certain middle trees staff spin is going to be an aspect for the arcstrider.

  • I really doubt it. I can see the spin be a default feature to arc staff in arc 3.0 the same way sentinel got the commander shield by default

  • they should make one of the arc supers to where the melee button swings the staff for up close attacks, and the fire button throws the staff for ranged attacks. pressing the fire button after throwing the staff blink/teleports you to the staff. so you would be able to launch the staff at an enemy or group of adds, blink to your staff to melee combo enemies, launch it again, rinse and repeat. if you throw the staff out of bounds or in an implausible spot to blink to then the staff would blink back to you after a couple of seconds.

  • Very cool idea. But instead of costing a melee, maybe make it like a charged grenade as warlock have. And blind on impact.

  • i like that idea, so melee button would still be a light attack, fire button would be a heavy attack and hold fire button to aim and launch the staff

  • An interesting idea. I like it, though I think the throw/teleport would end up costing a significant amount of super energy to balance its use in PvP.

  • i would make the velocity of the throw take some time to get to where it's going, not too slow but you would have to lead targets and become skilled at it like with glaives. it could just use as much super energy as a powered attack.
