Counterpoint - you do get an encounter report after each wipe, which is arguably more important than a post-raid report which if you raid with friends you already know who sucked, and if you raid with randoms I guess, what, you just know who to look out for?
I’m curious what specific info you’re looking for to make this valuable. I’m open to it, just unclear as to the point.
Edit: seeing even a limited set of desired data here makes me wonder if Bungie is capable of delivering that level of granularity in a decipherable way. The design of it alone would be a full time job for a UI/UX team.

Which if my loadouts is most efficient. We can beat the boss but is my nagi hotswap rocket with ALH bettter or is my explosive light Better? Or is my thoughtless gally better ? -
If I'm running with a highly efficient group of friends, I want to see damage numbers to see who has the highest damage so I can see if there is anything I can change in my loadout to improve my next raid attempt. Sometimes there are subtle details on how people run an encounter that result in a significant difference in DPS: Maybe shooting an Izzy shot before a Rocket results in higher DPS given the Caretaker damage window for example. If you always blow through the boss encounters, you never really know what is working the best. If I'm running with a group that has 1-2 new players with weak loadouts, they will often swear by what they use because the team had no problem killing all bosses first try. In those cases, it would be good to show those players their actual damage numbers so they know to try something different next time. There is absolutely no reason to not give us the damage numbers other than letting people be complacent in using whatever they want. I, among many others, want the stats so we can learn how to improve, even if we are already melting bosses.

I like seeing my numbers. Think of it as trying to constantly set a high score, I want to see if I'm doing well, and what I could be doing better.

And seeing numbers for different builds after a successful run would be beneficial for master or even next contest mode raid.

I would assume it's a way to see if a build or strat is working. If add clear has, say, 900 kills with a KD of 70, then you can see rather or not they're suited for that job or not. Or if you're going 6 Lucky Mally Hunters against Caretaker, you can see if that strat would be better or worse compared to 6 Outbreaks or such.

Huh. Way more planning than I’m accustomed to. Pick guns, switch them on the fly if they aren’t doing the trick. This sounds like it would be useful for players trying to go flawless.
