So I have 3 people on my friends list that used a lagswitch to "cheese" Crota a few days ago, this morning they (all three fireteam members) attempted to login and were greeted with friendly messages explaining they were banned. Keep in mind there was no real explanation the only thing that made them believe this is what got them banned was multiple references to the terms and services of xbox live and Bungie, and the fact that all three were banned. One of them then called Microsoft attempting to reverse the ban, they would not tell him anything at all but instead referred him to some Terms of Service page that read: "There are no options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Permanent account bans are only implemented with rigorous checking to ensure that the innocent are not punished alongside the guilty. There will be no responses to any communication from this process." In short, I wanted to pass this along because I was invited to participate and politely declined because I didn't want any part of it. I told them that what they were doing was most definitely NOT cheese and it probably could get them banned. Now 2 of the most active players on my roster will no longer be playing (at least not on those accounts) and all so they could avoid joining randoms to get it done. Just a fair warning to anyone willing to cheat to accomplish simple tasks, don't lagswitch or you may be banned. EDIT: the guys were only temporarily banned, I assume they've moved on from crota and now cheat on trials I dunno I removed them from my friends list. Edit: This thread was created in January when the hard mode crotas end was released, no one has trouble with crota these days and no one cheats on PVE stuff. stop necro bumping please
