Or is this going to be Space-COD forever? We've obviously seen what this game was supposed to be, and what the final product is.
What do you think? Will this game ever be fully immersive? Or is this about it for depth?

Writers: We almost have the story finished and it is our finest work ever it has decades of back story lore and players will be able to totally lose themselves in it for days, weeks, months maybe. Bungie: Thats fantastic our fans are going to love this game and will be the stuff of Legend! Activision walks in room Activision: We have read through the story and it seems rather big for no reason. Why do you have all the cutscenes and people talking about what happend hundreds of years ago? Writers: It's so people will know what is going on and why they've been brought back to life to battle the darkness. Activision: That seems unnecessary our fans just like to shoot stuff. Writers: Well we believe we are going to appeal to a different fan base that will appreciate all of it. Activision: This is going to be very costly and time consuming so we are going to cut this part out. Bungie looks at writers Bungie: This should still work right guys? Writers: We can possibly make this work. We are going to have to move some stuff around. Activision: Also while you are doing that can you break the entire story up into smaller pieces so they can be sold individually. Writers: Im not sure it might work if you sell them in a specific order so the story still makes sense. Activision: You don't understand we aren't concerned if the story makes sense we just want these individual parts to be sellable and look like fun. Writers: yeah sure we will get right on that. Writers gather all copies of original story and go into another room Writers in private Writer1: I can't believe they're just going to hack up our story Writer2: None of the players are going to have any idea what is going on Writer3: this is bull blam them Writer1: I'm quitting and am taking the story with me. I'm not giving them anything. Writers 2&3: Agreed The next day there is another meeting The writers have something to say Writer1: I believe I speak for the rest of us when I say this is a slap in our faces to hack up the story we have been working on for so long, and we won't stand for it. Activision: I'm sorry but you don't have a choice Writers: Yes we do we quit write your own story. They walk out and take everything with them.

BungieVision aren't going to spend a penny more than necessary to fix the story. The comet expansion might do something, but only for a hefty price. I ain't gonna pay for it, and I haven't been playin' it for a while. Boring!

1 답변If you read through and analyze all the Grimoire cards, the story is decently elaborate, the problem is that they didn't incorporate it as much as they could have. I think that it's a fun game, which is why I still play, but with the inclusion of all the ideas in the Grimoire, this game would be legendary

3 답변No. The old story writers quit, and along with them the great story they wrote. The game now is sadly a shell of what it could have been. This is noticeably true based on level design of VoG and CE, two incredibly and mechanically different raids. Vog is similar in play, mechanically, as the first level, where CE is more of the same. Run to the boss, shoot a bullet sponge, collect loot.

I think so, but not in this game. Going back and playing Halo 1, I realized that there is a surprising lack of story in the game, which only comes through the later games, books etc. Im not saying Halo 1 is as bad as Destiny, because where Halo shined at was explaining what the hell you were doing right then and why, for the most part. There were similar shortcomings considering who you were, "What is my characters name, how was I in this cryopod, why doesn't everyone have my armor?", who you fought "so there's tall aliens, triangle back enemies, circle shields and tank monsters? And now some fleshy thing flinging tentacles at me?", etc. Again, I'm not saying the first halo didn't explain all this, just that it didn't exactly do a superb job. The thing with the destiny though, is i feel like it should have learned from past games. They should have known and anticipated questions. Plenty of games successfully wrap up main stories, and then expand upon them in dlc. A lot more should have been done, and unfortunately i don't think some of it will come until Destiny 2.

2 답변This game is too oriented toward replaying the same content over and over again, and so I doubt there will ever really be that much of a plot to it. Not having a plot makes the first play through seem worse, but can you imagine having to sit through the same unskippable cut-scenes over and over again because they actually wanted to put a plot in.

1 답변Well we knew it could never have a conclusion. How else could we play forever? I think the best we can hope for is Destiny 2 having one.

1 답변I rode the hype train from day 1 so I have tdb and how. If the game doesn't start to interest me more I doubt very much I'll be around. Hell I barley put 3-4 hours a week in now.

작성자: SPRTN89 2/2/2015 7:57:33 PMI think the biggest part missing is character development... We were a dead body in a field but where were we before? How did we get there? Since there is no foundation to build on, the story has no footing going into the first couple missions

2 답변The story is there. They just need to present it better. Exposition during loading screens doesn't have the same impact as cutscenes, The grimoire should have been in game. And they shouldn't have tried so hard to make this a 10yr thing. This game is basically the first few chapters of a book. Which like any book lacks significant events. But honestly I like it how it is. The story is there, even if you have to dig for it, and truthfully we would all get annoyed if we had to sit through cutscenes every 5mins.

작성자: RaiseRentForSingleMothers 2/2/2015 7:31:38 PMIf you have played Dark Souls then you know the situation. It's a very cryptic story which usually requires you to interpret it in your own way. It could be better though hopefully we get a lot of info in comet.

I'm not holding out hope. The dark below sounded promising but it was still the same on new areas of old maps. I seriously don't believe we'll get to see new planets, or even countries until d2 at the earliest. Im disappointed with the story line, the lack of new maps, the lack of pve events, the sheer amount of grind and finally the fact that my "expansion pass" is valid for 2 out of 4 for this game. I really don't intend to pay for another two expansions that are more of the same. Unless they provide something amazing in how and then pod, or release pod as a free dlc to everyone I won't put more money in the pot. I do really enjoy the games mechanics and visuals etc but its business model is toxic unfortunately.
