In all fairness, I would root for the Spartans all day till the end but honestly I think the Guardians would win. They have "space magic" and all of these abilities that Spartans don't have. But hey, when has that shied a Spartan away from a fight? [spoiler]Never.[/spoiler] Edit: Also think about Chief's suit. If Spartans are outfitted with the Mark VII Mjonir armor, I think that would definitely even the odds of the "space magic BS." His suit is neurologically linked to his brain which connects to his arms and legs allowing for quick, snappy reactions as well as the muscle enhancements that make him stronger as well. Plus they have much more training than the Guardians did. They were resurrected and have "natural combat capabilities." BULLSH!T they do!!! So yeah, that's my take on the battle. Think about it: A guardian can be revived as long as the ghost lives. A spartan could destroy a ghost, yes, but the ghost doesn't provide light, so yeah. A spartan is not invincible, in fact they can die to a one-hit, body-shot with some weapons. Guardians have many different weapons, guardians could two-hit a other dude in crucible in my day..... Spartans are like Guardians, but guardians have abilities like Hammer of Sol, Sunsinger, so forth. You really can't kill a Hammer Titan in supercharge, and sunsingers would just Rez. So it would be a tough battle. It's all depending on, skill, power, and Wifi (less wifi, more lag)

Spartans are battle-hardened special forces soldiers, Guardians come to be through a number of means. Spartans are genetically modified 'super' soldiers, Guardians are chosen by an almost celestial being to push back hordes of marauding invaders and granted 'space magic' to do just that. So Spartans, despite their experience, armour, and modifications would lose to Guardians because of the latter's powers alone, since Spartans still have only the 'basics' and Guardian powers include regenerative grenades, 'super-charged' hand-to-hand strikes, mid-air jumping abilities and their iconic 'Super' abilities. [spoiler]Self-resurrection is cheating, though.[/spoiler]

Here are my thoughts. They would be fighting in an arena that is neutral and supports the maximum amount of abilities on both sides, including only the best from gameplay and lore. It's a one life death match, so ghosts don't really come into play. Now that they have the best of their abilities and the terms are set, one can begin to judge who would win. Spartans are super humans. They have both physical and cybernetic enhancements that increase endurance, pain tolerance, reaction time, speed, and intelligence just to name a few. They are experts with human and covenant vehicles, and are trained to use any weapons they may encounter (human, covenant and forerunner to name some more common examples). Spartans (IIs and IIIs anyways) have years of training under their belts along with combat experience that makes them incredibly well trained and experienced. They have many other abilities, including armor abilities such as armor lock and jet pack, but this is a good outline of their basics. Guardians are space wizards. They were chosen by ghosts and the majority of them were resurrected from golden age persons. They have no memory of who they were before that. Because they were chosen as guardian's of the light, and due to golden age changes from the traveler, they have many enhancements granted by the traveler's light, including enhanced strength, speed, reaction time, intelligence, basically everything Spartan's have, although the exact amounts remain unmeasured unlike the Spartan's enhancements. Chief among a guardian's abilities is their access to "space magic", though it also includes things such as the ability to move faster than light and tear reality with a simple gesture. In the lore, guardians do not have cool downs on their supers and other abilities, so theoretically they can use them as much as they want provided they have enough energy. This is only a basic outline for guardians, albeit not a very good one. It's pretty obvious who would win, unless the spartan was Master Cheif, because not even a guardian can beat his luck. Feel free to add to abilities on both sides. Elaborations are welcome, provided they are true.

For the people who know the Halo story, Spartans are much smarter, stronger and quicker. But in Destiny's sto... Oh wait There's no story. [spoiler]Spartans win[/spoiler]

Spartans are, combatively speaking, superior. Guardians spend their time getting killed because they can simply respawn in a bit, thanks to space magic. Spartans, however have faced enemies that put Destiny Universe enemies to shame, and not died in the process. Unfortunate, Space Magic is godmode, and like a bad OC, they can't be killed permanently without the total destruction of the traveler. That being said, Spartans, with access to technology, like, perchance, a UNSC or Covenant ship, could easily Slipspace to the city, past its defenses and drop a MAC round or glass cannon on the traveler and end it all at once. Considering that Guardians don't have access to that kind of mass destruction, or even anything to combat an arial assault… there's no stopping the Spartans.
