I see a LOT of people hating on Bungie because of what Xur sells. Despite what people say, Xur is completely RNG.
People may counter argue with "But what about Christmas, when they extended his stay?"
Yes, Bungie CAN control Xur. He is a program, nothing more, but they chose to leave him as RNG.
Just saying, take a chill pill people. I get your rage and want for that elusive Exotic, but don't throw everything at Bungie.
Except the lack of vault space and constant Iron Banner. That is BS.
Edit: I would like to respond to some of the calm, level headed people and even amend some stuff, however, I am about to take my finals, so I will reply when I get home and can type on an actual computer and not my phone.

21 답변When people really think Xur is RNG, I can't help but think your all really naive. Do you know how small the chances are (whatever they are) that he would sell voidfang or Sunbreakers or the star fire so many times in a row or so close together. You see, it's much easier for them for you guys to think it's RNG because that way you won't get annoyed with complete shite like no land beyond. And then, they can keep putting complete shite out you don't want/need to they can have you carry on grinding for smallest tiniest little chance you actually get something good because there are so few actually good things in the game.

작성자: AustinByName 1/24/2015 2:53:31 PMThey pick in a voting panel. When left to rng, lazy devs. certain items are more likely to be selected, as in the percent for it's chance is higher. That's why some times we see crap after crap and sometimes it's all dlc after Christmas.
xur is in no way 100% rng. Early starters in this game can recall the slip up of the admitting of the voting panel. It's all common sense. Some items out the loot table, some less likely to be selected. Just as if you won a night fall or etc.
I don't personally believe Xur is RNG at all , but I do however agree that the fact he comes is a luxury & not a privilege . I appreciate his existence , even look forward to him arriving (don't ever let myself get my hopes up as to avoid disappointment. Learned my lesson after Star Wars Ep. 1.) We shouldn't complain either way~ Keep him/Lose him. Don't like it , don't buy from him, you know? I especially respect the decorum you show stating your opinion. We all need to respect each other , not BS. Can hope , I guess... Good on ya bro...

7 답변작성자: Monsieur Photo 1/24/2015 12:14:09 AMWhy wouldn't they control it? He's a vendor in their game. They manipulate the community with the inventory for xur, every week you're gonna boot Destiny up on Friday to see what he has, fool proof way to keep players playing. Didn't sell the chest engram this week. "Maybe he'll sell it next week" "maybe he'll sell heavy synth or a gun I give a shit about"; this is a game about grind not content. Shit. Why are there so many naive?

I'm very sure it is random... But bungie have set percentages for which guns are more likely to be sold guns such as gjalla and icebreaker probably have a very low % and others have higher hence plan c, NLB etc dropping more often

1 답변Perhaps there's a combination. Xur is usually left to RNG, but Bungie can step in and override when necessary? Just a thought.

7 답변It can't be RNG, do you know the chances of all items being DLC this week? or the week the DLC dropped?, bungie definitely has a hand on what Xur sells, even if the y don't completely control it, they might have it with greater chances for certain items e.g.: Warlock Items: Sunbreakers 90% chance (everything else 1% each) Weapons: Gjally 0.0005%

2 답변Prof bungie does: Xür says "my will is not my own." Xür is an element of the game. RNG is an element of the game. Xürs will should be in the game. Ergo, Xurs will should be RNG. Bungie devs are not an element within the game. They control the game. Xurs will is not his own. Xurs will is not RNG. Devs control Xür Dev are the nine.

1 답변작성자: JohnnyTooFastToGet 1/23/2015 9:41:02 PMI'm not saying you are wrong I just find it hard to believe that he's RNG I mean he's sold the voidfang Vestements more times than I can count and never sold Gjallahorn(I don't care about him selling it im just using it to further prove my argument). Edit: and I thinks it's interesting that he sold 2 of the best weapons( Gjallahorn and icebreaker) early on in the game when nobody could really buy them but then he never sold them again except icebreaker which he's sold twice.

1 답변We began with a visit to the Tower by the Agent of the Nine. You know him as Xûr. He brought with him a prize that many Guardians had coveted. You know it as Ice Breaker. These are words from deej in bungies recent update saying xur came with a surprise(ice breaker) they had xur sell this weapon so there was extra fire power for hard mode crota re read this in the update and let me know if what im saying makes sense or if you disagree/agree and why

1 답변작성자: Technesiss 1/24/2015 1:44:32 AMHow about this https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/528119338029428737 If that timing is correct that was before reset no ? And you know what was sold.... I think we have uncovered it.

4 답변May I ask why you defend this program so much? Do you have evidence that Xûr is indeed RNG and not otherwise? Unfortunately, if you create something that appears to fail, you, the maker take responsibility. So, Xûr, being the creation, Bungie the creator takes responsibility. However proving faults is something else especially seen as no one knows whether the RNG controls Xûr.

6 답변It's not rng. Get your head out of your arse. Notice last week he sold stuff EVERYONE begged for? Then roll out the poop for you. Xur is and will never be rng. It's is based off of votes from a team of 9 and deej (overseer of the other 9) is the final say.
