I see a LOT of people hating on Bungie because of what Xur sells. Despite what people say, Xur is completely RNG.
People may counter argue with "But what about Christmas, when they extended his stay?"
Yes, Bungie CAN control Xur. He is a program, nothing more, but they chose to leave him as RNG.
Just saying, take a chill pill people. I get your rage and want for that elusive Exotic, but don't throw everything at Bungie.
Except the lack of vault space and constant Iron Banner. That is BS.
Edit: I would like to respond to some of the calm, level headed people and even amend some stuff, however, I am about to take my finals, so I will reply when I get home and can type on an actual computer and not my phone.

Is that why he's had ghorn available for upgrade 5 weeks in a row yet somehow it's never managed to come up for actual sale in the past 4 months, despite being one of his very first sales back when no one had a stockpile of coins yet? /end thread

1 답변Xur works for the Activision ceo eric hirshberg, hirshberg has 9 letters, xur is agent of the nine, hirshberg is a German name, nein in German is pronounced nine, illuminati confirmed!

As much as I thought he was, after the DLC came out xur brought 4 DLC pieces of gear, the week he brought NLB I forgot what else.. From a statistical standpoint... That is nearly impossible to happen for an RNG assuming every exotic is in the drop table.

작성자: Dip Smuttins 1/24/2015 7:58:33 PMWow. All I see are a bunch of poor fools that need feel the need to throw their grief at someone. It's random. I know that you people can't fathom/handle something being totally random but it's getting old now. Just because he hasn't sold the gun you want doesn't mean Bungie's sitting in some dark room plotting against you. Gjallarhorn being on the table does not mean it's going to be sold. As far as RNG is concerned it could just never be sold again.

2 답변What seems most accurate is that Xur IS RNG. Bungie simply curates the pool he will RNG from on a weekly basis.

2 답변작성자: turdferguson00 1/24/2015 5:41:02 PM..... Why is it RNG? Because you say so? And in any case.. You seem to be confused what RNG is.. Random number generator... Give it a range of 1-100 and it'll pick a number.. Then we enter weighting (which means its not random by definition) where you can dictate the choices while hiding behind the "RNG".. I'll give you a small example of a possible loot table Nlb Nlb Nlb Nlb Nlb Nlb Suros Now bring in the RNG... Its incredibly likely RNG will select no land beyond.. And you sure as hell aren't getting a ghorn (based on my mock loot table, and likely their real one) Tldr.. Bungie can use RNG (no proof they do with xur) and still dictate what is sold, making it not random

2 답변He sold plan c twice when they announced the exotic upgrade system and dropped dlc. Why? Because selling a weapon that needs to be upgraded 2 days later is shady. Bungie picks Xur weapons. That's why they made a big deal when he sold icebreaker
-
2 답변Yea. Xur just so happens to sell the ice breaker after all this time right before the hard mode comes out. Sorry but after that I'll never believe that they don't manually stock xur sometimes. He may be random most of the time. But hey DO stock him sometimes. And ya know it.
