I see a LOT of people hating on Bungie because of what Xur sells. Despite what people say, Xur is completely RNG.
People may counter argue with "But what about Christmas, when they extended his stay?"
Yes, Bungie CAN control Xur. He is a program, nothing more, but they chose to leave him as RNG.
Just saying, take a chill pill people. I get your rage and want for that elusive Exotic, but don't throw everything at Bungie.
Except the lack of vault space and constant Iron Banner. That is BS.
Edit: I would like to respond to some of the calm, level headed people and even amend some stuff, however, I am about to take my finals, so I will reply when I get home and can type on an actual computer and not my phone.

2 답변Please explain how the week before hard mode the 3 helmets that each regained life when orbs are picked up. They knew we would need help with Hard Mode and made Xur sell those.

3 답변What hard proof do we have that xur is 100% RNG? A far a I know Deej has said he doesn't control him but that's it

He's both, they can obviously control him if they want or need to, they can do anything they damn please. But for the most part he is RNG. In a couple of years destiny 2 will be out but destiny 1 will still be up and running. They will want the game to function on autopilot. They aren't going to be holding meetings or whatever you people think happens just to decide what xur sells....

작성자: Portagaz D Natsu 1/29/2015 6:25:34 PMRNG doesn't really exists, the moment you step into anything, the game has already decided what you will get if you finish, XUR isn't RNG either, there's a pattern Bungie follows to decide what he sells. Also, Bungie made the game the way it is, so they in fact do deserve all the hate they get.

2 답변But bungie programmed the loot table xur will sell So meaning they can't control him if suddenly he decided to sell g horn? THERES A CHANCE.

Interesting discussion. My feeling is that Xur runs on an algorithm that is a combination of RNG, equipment/weapons classes and statistics of utilization. The more people use an item the lower the chance of getting it sold. That would explain why the most craved items such as Suros, Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn make seldom appearances.

2 답변well maybe they need to take a little hands on with the game i mean we did make them millions

1 답변Xur sells all DLC exotics every other week, is it not obvious Bungie is using incentives for people to get DLC

1 답변작성자: HP 1/24/2015 11:34:51 PMIt does not take numbers or stats to use logic( which not one of you has proven that it is possible with any theory or what we like to call a proof or equation). Bungie is a business so their ultimate goal is to... Yup you guessed it make money.. They obviously use Xur to push the Dlc.. I do not care bc I have every exotic for every class so I do not care or cry when only Dlc items are up..If you do not have the Dlc, do you think when you can't purchase something from Xur with them hard earned coins, that maybe just maybe you will be tempted to buy the Dark Below. Sick of people acting like they are smart bc they just started their first college math course and are trying to apply it to the real world. Pass calculus and physics and then try to act smart. Ps. Bungie has never xur is rng And I am not going to teach basic probability or statistics on this app

It doesn't matter what matter what anyone says, Xur was created by the devs just like everything else in the game. If they want to control him they can. They might or might not be doing that but there is no way we will ever know for sure.

3 답변작성자: AsylumxX 1/24/2015 4:35:26 PMXur isn't set by the devs? Is that why he's had ghorn available for upgrade 5 weeks in a row yet somehow it's never managed to come up for actual sale in the past 4 months, despite being one of his very first sales back when no one had a stockpile of coins yet? /end thread
