17 답변
The law being: If a pregnant woman is murdered, the murderer is charged with two counts of homicide, not just one.
There's a problem with the way you've worded this. Murder, by definition, is a criminal offence whereby someone commits a homicide which is unjustifiable; an unlawful killing. Homicide is merely an acknowledgement that someone has killed another and it may or may not be justified, which is why you often hear the phrase "justifiable homicide" when a police shooting occurs. Secondly, it also seems pertinent to point out that the continued use of the term "murder" throughout this topic in regard to abortion is incorrect. Again, for those reading this, murder is a legal term for unlawful killing; where abortion is legal, abortion is not murder because it cannot be. Thirdly, in many places, including the US, a foetus does not have rights because it is not considered a person, let alone a citizen in the country of birth. Only when it is born does that happen. http://criminal.lawyers.com/felonies/blogs/archives/2977-the-legal-difference-between-murder-homicide.html

7 답변Can we just leave abortion up to women. I mean not make it their choice but like just let them make the actual laws of abortion. Whether the laws are pro choice or pro life should be up to them. Absolutely no reason men should have a say in abortion laws. It doesn't affect us. We make the laws for everything else, let them have this one.

2 답변I don't see how you could be pro-choice and support this law. I mean, it's kind of hypocritical.

3 답변작성자: HM Rob 1/23/2015 6:30:59 AMThis is one of my favorite paradoxes in law and feminism. Isn't it great how some liberals think that women have the power to choose whether or not a fetus deserves to be treated human? If you're pro-choice and pro-law, you're a sexist scumbag.

15 답변Abortion is okay because the fetus is not a full person, therefore killing it does not count as murder. The law is silly.

17 답변Because he is removing two lives from this world. The woman has choice over the child's life, whether she births it or not, the other driver does not. The man that hits her removes that choice from her and makes it himself. Thus, he gets charged with double homicide.

10 답변The woman has the right to chose, not anyone else. Calling a fetus a person is like calling a bunch of steel and rubber a car because a car can be made with them.

작성자: Captain Kwando 1/23/2015 6:20:08 AMDepends I suppose... If the "baby" is 3 weeks old and just a bunch of jizz and an egg then no, it should technically count as 1 life If the fetus is developed and it has a heartbeat than yes, it should count as 2 lives
this law's weird
But since this is about abortion n' shit a fetus is basically a vegetable guys, "killing" it isn't really all that wrong unless someone cares for it... Which is unlikely considering the reason for aborting a fetus is because you don't care for it I just don't get why this is all such a big deal, if a women wants a vegetable out of her uterus, let her have it taken out...
