Females playing destiny.....
Although I play as a male, I am in fact of the female variety in real life. I've never tried the VOG because I feel that people might not want to play with me being a female, so I feel that if people don't know this, like on strikes with the mic off then I get treated as 'one of the guys', the job gets done and everyone is happy at the end of it. I really feel I'm missing out on the raids as I don't know what people think and just wondered what's everyone's opinion on females being part of a team.
Are there lots of females playing and I don't know this because I've muted everyone or are there not many at all?
I have three characters on the go, two of them level 31 and play every day, love the game but feel that being female would put you guys off so I stick to strikes and bounties when I really want to try the raids. Is this the case or am I wrong...... Hopefully I am!
Update: Should've said I'm on xbox 360 and thanks to all the offers from other consoles to join their group etc. I've had a great response for the most part so thanks for the continuing comments.

Just beat VoG on normal last night with a girl in my fire team. There's also a girl in one of my groups that I've played with quite a bit. They're both cool and fun to play with, which is the only thing that should matter. If you're into sniping you should join the group Sniper Gang. Lots of really cool people that know what they're doing and don't care who's voice is on the other end of a mic.

She also somehow managed to blab about being a lesbian, and nobody in the raid gave a shit. Granted, that was my one experience with a girl in the raid, so I don't want to generalize. I've encountered girls during strikes and they played just as well as any other person would. I also used to play World of Warcraft, where girls seem to be a greater portion of the population for whatever reason. I was in a top raiding guild that included at least two or three girls in our main raiding group. They definitely held up their own and knew how to work as a team. I'd say that as long as you can shoot, have upgraded gear and weapons, and know how to listen, you have a good chance in the raid. Hell, if you meet all of those requirements, you'd beat out a majority of the people I've raided with. Also, don't be afraid to use your mic since you might get booted for not communicating. Just don't be one of those idiots ranting about how they're "so stooooned/ehehehe drunk duuude," nobody wants to waste their time with that kind of person since they are usually shit in the raid due to being inebriated. The more you practice it, the better you'll be at it, so get out there and do it. GT: Dancing JeXsus if anyone ever wants to group on Xbox One.

1 답변How funny. I just met a woman in a raid last night that felt the same way. As a matter of fact she actually had people leave a raid because she was a girl. At least that was what she figures happened. She said her and her boyfriend share and account. He has a Titan at level 31 that he uses and she has a Warlock at level 31 (that is the character she was using in our raid). Anyway she said one night her boyfriend was in a raid with a few people off their friends list. He had to go to work or something like that and passed the controller to her. She said as soon as she put the headset on and started talking to the group three players dropped from the raid. She said she figures they left not because it wasn't their friend but because she was a woman. She was lead to the conclusion because one of the players who stuck around mentioned that is probably why they left. I for one don't see why it would matter if it is a man or a woman on the other side of the screen. If they can play and hold their own then they should be allowed to play. My buddy and his fiance plat video games together quite often and I have seen her hold her own on plenty of occasions. I honestly wish I knew more female gamers. To be honest I wish I could date a woman gamer. Sadly there are very few in my age group.

You are most definitely wrong. It does not matter whether if you are male or female. If you enjoy playing and just have fun then who cares. I am a part of a growing clan that would welcome you with open arms if you play on PS3. We do raids regularly as well as help with anything else that people need. So far the only female i've played Destiny with kinda sucked and refused to listen to advice so if you're retarded idc what gender you are. What system are you on? If you want to raid & to be treated as just another guardian, there are those of us who would be happy to help you through the first time, normal/hard, VoG/Crota. If you're on Xbone, add me & I'll run normal & hard modes on my alt character this weekend. If you're on PS4, you can add, but no idea when/if I'll level that character up high enough. I've been trying to build a team that I always raid with, there are 3 of us who are always there, and 2 or 3 who are hit or miss, but they're all good players. By the way, not just the OP, anyone feel free to ask if you'd like to raid for the first time, or find a team you will run it with regularly.

I played ce a couple weeks ago and one of my team mates sounded like they were a fourteen year old boy. We got to crota me and this player were the only 32s so I offered to take the sword. The player gave me some pointers but I was having an off day, (also no one was calling the shield cause that is usually my job) so I asked if they wanted the sword. Player hesitated because they had never used the sword before but then agreed. First sword pass crota is dropped to 25% health remaining and we are all astounded, but then the game lagged (because it couldn't handle the awesomeness of the occasion?) so we had a wipe then ran it again. Took us 3 more tries and it was a little slower cause we didn't want to break the game again and finally we killed crota. Most of the group decided to hang around for a second run which went ok but they were all on their lower level chars. When we get to crota tho is when the inevitable surprise happens. The entire time we had been playing together there had been a guy swearing in the background of this players mic, we had been told this guy was playing Mario kart 8. Well we had a new player with us for the second run and they asked who was swearing so much, then this awesome sword bearer said it was HER boyfriend. Moral of the story play like a boss while making people think you are a squeaker who doesn't talk much so isn't annoying and then reveal your true identity once you've proven you're the best player on the team. P.s. I don't and have never had anything against playing with girls. My sister and I used to play games together, my wife plays destiny and I watch. Being a good gamer is based on dedication to gaming and to the game you are playing.

Played with females befor and tbh my group wouldn't really care if you were a leprechaun as long as u played ok That's all that matters race sex gender don't matter at all If you ever want to do the vog normal or hard hit me up on psn il run it with u an some friends or get a group from off so every one is a stranger then u won't feel pressured You won't need a mic Also if you don't mute people but take your mic out of the control then u can still hear what ever commands they are giving Psn AL1F_M14H Ps4

If you're playing with guys who treat you differently because you have a different set of genitals then you should probably find someone more mature to play with. Don't ever be ashamed to be a girl gamer, but don't brag about it either because it shouldn't matter. If people keep making a big deal about it, whether in a positive or negative way, it's always gonna have some kind of stigma to it. Gender has nothing to do with your ability to play and enjoy video games.

Hey! Im a chick gamer too but not in the same boat. Everyone knows who i am. If youre just as good or better than the boys you play with why should u feel ashamed for being a girl? I know how it is a little but usually anyone that is brought into my raid parties who starts questioning my gear is quickly schooled when they die and i clutch solo both ogres on the bridge or something. Lol. Just own it. There will always be people who have preconceived notions of how "girls suck." There are a lot of girls like you in hiding. Dont hide anymore- come on over to my clan. We have an amazing team with two other girls. One is still learning but she has talent and the other is a beast! Lol. Our guys are so awesome too. Just really kind and work great as a team and great senses of humor. We play every day as well. Message me back if youd like to join.

The guys i play with are great! They dont care that i am a chick, so long as i carry my weight. Done both raids with them. Several times. Its all about finding the right group. Most guys dont care. Just dont suck lol

There's nothing wrong with being a female and playing destiny. Heck i have done the VOG with a female gamer before . Skills aren't based on sex its an individual effort to be good. Anyone can play destiny not just guys. Now get out there Guardian and help save humanity! :D
