Although I play as a male, I am in fact of the female variety in real life. I've never tried the VOG because I feel that people might not want to play with me being a female, so I feel that if people don't know this, like on strikes with the mic off then I get treated as 'one of the guys', the job gets done and everyone is happy at the end of it. I really feel I'm missing out on the raids as I don't know what people think and just wondered what's everyone's opinion on females being part of a team.
Are there lots of females playing and I don't know this because I've muted everyone or are there not many at all?
I have three characters on the go, two of them level 31 and play every day, love the game but feel that being female would put you guys off so I stick to strikes and bounties when I really want to try the raids. Is this the case or am I wrong...... Hopefully I am!
Update: Should've said I'm on xbox 360 and thanks to all the offers from other consoles to join their group etc. I've had a great response for the most part so thanks for the continuing comments.

I feel like most people would stop reacting these ways if say every 1 out of 5 gamers was a girl. They would get used to it. Im not blaming you, its just a vicious cycle that one side needs to break.

I've played several games with female gamers. They are always right at home and play the game for enjoyment. That's my experience though. My friend from the ps4 side of things has talked about running into a few sexist people. But they were done away with(from their clan I should say). At the end of the day, we are gamers, plain an simple. Unless you are being foul mouthed like a 12 year old sailor, I'll treat you as my equal in any situation.

2 답변I have played with 3 females. Not a problem. Don't be shy. The ones I play with are quite capable and being a female is not something to hide if you know how to play. There are lots of people in Destiny and most will not hold it against you.

작성자: Kat 1/24/2015 12:52:47 AMI don't like playing with my mic either for the same reason. Luckily I have awesome people I can play with regularly that I get along with and don't pressure me about it. Usually just use it for raid but don't say much. I'm on xbox 360 too, if you need help

plenty of Female gamers out there, 2 of our group's best raiders are both female. one of them gets kinda emotional, but we can deal with it. just find a group and have fun! that's what it's all about. I'm male btw.

작성자: Psycho11Edge 1/24/2015 12:51:41 AMMy main raid group is led by a brother/sister duo who play Destiny together. They are pretty cool people, and I never view the woman in question any way other than just another raid member, and a pretty good one at that. The whole group of people I've met through them are some of the best Destiny players I have on my friends list. So as long as you are cool and can carry your weight most of the time, I don't really care about gender when playing games with others.

Our female teammate is the same way. When she does raids with us, we let her decide if she wants to talk or not. She usually never says anything so we don't let it bother us. Just do your job and pull your weight and nobody should care what gender you are.

작성자: Achro 1/23/2015 8:14:22 PMI don't care about the sex/sexuality/race/religion/nationality/politics of my squadmates as long as they're A) good at the pew pews and B) aren't an asshole - and most of the people I've met playing this wonderful game have felt the same. Be yourself and one of two possibilities will present itself. You'll either be accepted or you'll learn who you want to avoid.
