Although I play as a male, I am in fact of the female variety in real life. I've never tried the VOG because I feel that people might not want to play with me being a female, so I feel that if people don't know this, like on strikes with the mic off then I get treated as 'one of the guys', the job gets done and everyone is happy at the end of it. I really feel I'm missing out on the raids as I don't know what people think and just wondered what's everyone's opinion on females being part of a team.
Are there lots of females playing and I don't know this because I've muted everyone or are there not many at all?
I have three characters on the go, two of them level 31 and play every day, love the game but feel that being female would put you guys off so I stick to strikes and bounties when I really want to try the raids. Is this the case or am I wrong...... Hopefully I am!
Update: Should've said I'm on xbox 360 and thanks to all the offers from other consoles to join their group etc. I've had a great response for the most part so thanks for the continuing comments.

I'm not from the U.S, so i don't know about the culture with female gamers there. But for me, as long as you can kick ass with a (virtual) gun, whether you're female, male, a kid, grandpa, grandma its all good. Heck even if you're not good at the game i'd still game with you. Its all about having fun at the end of the day.

1 답변작성자: Tiki Kitsune 1/24/2015 1:32:40 AMJust beat Crota hard mode with a group of guys (they knew I was a woman from the start). When it comes down to it, most of the adults (key word being "adults" and I'm not talking about age necessarily, but maturity level) that play this game value skill over what gender you are. Sure there's a lot of immature assholes on here, but -blam!- 'em. Don't be afraid to use your mic or play as a female character. Enjoy the game you paid for and don't worry about what some randos on the internet think. (Edit: I'm on xbox one, if you plan on upgrading in the near future lmk. I'd be happy to raid with you)

I really couldn't care less what gender someone is. It makes me laugh how so many guys act when they find out they're playing with a girl. It's like guys think you are a completely different species instead of seeing it for what it is, just another gamer trying to have some fun.

You don't need to be self conscious about that. We just play to have fun, same as you. Yes, there are some jerks (there will always be jerks), but mot of us aren't that bad. People will play with you just to play with you, it shouldn't make a difference whether you are a girl or a guy. Coincidentally, I am also on the Xbox 360. Send me a friend request some time if you want to play.

1 답변I'm a girl playing destiny. I do the raids and strikes all the time. I haven't had any problems so far. The guys I usually play with are pretty cool and I met them on destinytracker when I wanted to raid for the first time. They were all very patient and helpful on my first run! Most people playing this game are pretty nice.

4 답변Quite the opposite for me. I accept all gamers who are willing to be respectful and cooperative and are up for some fun, no matter their gender. It is always nice to have a female voice for a change because I am constantly in game with males. Oddly enough though I haven't encountered any girls that are on mic, which is a shame because this game is really dull when you have no one to chat too. But I can't blame them. Some people that you meet in game can be real grubs, both male and female and it's quite intimidating and frightening to come under such ridicule. As a guy, I've been on the opposite side of idiocy and it's not nice at all.

1 답변I'm female, everyone I play with is cool, yeah sometimes there is that one asshole but its not the majority. I play on ps3.

This is the problem, girls think all guys are assholes that will be rude and mean to them the second they hear her voice. Stop thinking that. Yes there are some assholes on destiny just like everywhere else in the world. My advice just play normally and don't walk in saying, hey I'm a girl so don't be mean. Just act like a human being. And to the guys that are being assholes, it's not funny just play the game and have a good time. This is not tinder or kik or omegle she isn't here to flirt or hook up she is here for the same reason you are, to have fun.

1 답변Wow. You really just cracked open a bottle of thirst. Be prepared to run. In all honesty, don't claim any identity while playing Destiny, except that of a Destiny player. If we're all Destiny Players it shouldn't matter. By placing barriers on yourself because you might think it'll "put people off" you are placing yourself in a mindframe commonly associated with Internal Sexism. We don't know you're a girl (because we're muted) due to the fact that you believe either part could potentially feel uncomfortable due to this sex difference. You're only hurting/limiting yourself. Not that I'm a Sociology major who specializes in Gender & Sexual Relations. *Wink* *Wink* *Cough* *Cough* -Be who you are & play your game. If people can't hang, there's others to play with.
