95% of Destiny players will not beat HM Crota. Intended Bungie?
Just my personal opinion and speculation... I'm sure more will beat it as time goes on and maybe after some cheeses are more than likely figured out. Do you think that is right by Bungie? Do you think it is intended? Personally I think HM Crota was tuned a little to difficult and will prob turn alot of people away. I can't wait to beat him though...

EDIT: Just to clarify for those that dont read the post or comprehend english. I'm not trolling or whining, I like the raid, I really do, just curious on what Bungie's expected percentage is for completion... Granted 95% might be a slight exaggeration... It will still be a very high number of failures.
EDIT: Kinda cool this turning into a decent discussion, the whining troll posts have slowed down.
EDIT: Last one... I'll stick to my opinion but give maybe a more realistic number of 75% that wont beat HM Crota before HoW.
EDIT: 1 Feb 2015. Shocked this thread is still floating around... Really curious what the percentage is for Hard Mode. Its kinda funny Bungie will tell us and almost brag about how many times Crota went down, but won't tell us what percentage of players actually did it.

I doubt 95 percent won't do it I totally plan on finishing hm as soon as I get the helm from crota I can hit 32 then I will have no problem running crota on hm. I probably could do it as a 31 but I wouldn't wanna go through that much punishment or worry about finding a fireteam as that seems the recommended level.

7 답변Beat it twice. Only missing Crux of crota, scout rifle, and unyielding casque from the whole raid.

I think the difficulty is quite scaled (and the artificial aspect of raising the mob levels is a really cheap way of adding difficulty), but it's definitely doable. Clear it once - your next runs are so much easier. There have been a few different strategies posted recently, all of them seem viable (we just do it the basic way without titan bubbles or anything - it's how we learned it first so it's already familiar). Pick a strategy you think works, practice it, execute it. Get your glowing shader, show off to everyone in the tower, feel proud of your accomplishment :) Our 4th clear included a 31. It's tough, but I just say that to give an example of how you start to feel comfortable with the fight. We've had a pretty similar group every time, but give it a couple weeks and pick up groups will be beating it regularly.

I completed it 3 times today with different teams every time .the one thing I can say is"it doesn't matter if you have beaten Crota ,once you enter the final stage with another fire team it still takes along time to get it down".even though you know the strategies it always fuks up.but best raid yet imo.

Eh, they did good by this. I look forward to seeing how tough it is when I get a chest armor/helmet drop. Players can get through portions of hard mode with relative ease, get good loot, but have to face a challenge in the finale it seems. Couple of exclusive rewards, that are well deserved, for beating 33 crota (who sounds like he is tough). But players will always be able to come back when the light level bumps to 34 in the next expansion and beat him to claim some loot. Overall I think this was well played by bungie, reward hardcore players for beating him, but those rewards won't be unattainable in the long run for normal/casual players

9 답변This sorta translates into creating content exclusively for a projected 5% of the playerbase, which is pretty terrible treatment of the playerbase and a gross mismanagement of internal development resources. There are so many people playing Destiny that it is pretty abominable that they are catering to a severe minority, niche portion of their audience to so great an extent, while so many more people are clamoring for more PvE content.

Well, you cant cheese crota anymore on normal and hard. Most of the players that beat crota on normal couldn't down him without cheese. Sucks to suck but have fun looking at my necrochasm when I get the crux drop.

2 답변Yeah I think it should be as hard as it is. I don't think that everything should be achievable without a lot of skill and dedication. You can have as much exotics as you want, but you need to be good to beat the hardest part of the game. Crota is difficult in normal as people really struggle with the timing/mechanics. I haven't tried hard yet as I've not had time. I doubt I'll manage to assemble a raid team good enough to beat him, but if I do, there will be a sense of achievement for beating the hardest thing the game has to offer. A little like beating Atheon for the first time. Whereas now you can beat him easily in 2 teleports.

I think it should be this hard. I had very much fun with a team of 6 level 32 titans, all defender class., Why don't weapons of light and blessing of light stack...? Just get 6 stacked blessings of light, and you'll be invincible!
