95% of Destiny players will not beat HM Crota. Intended Bungie?
Just my personal opinion and speculation... I'm sure more will beat it as time goes on and maybe after some cheeses are more than likely figured out. Do you think that is right by Bungie? Do you think it is intended? Personally I think HM Crota was tuned a little to difficult and will prob turn alot of people away. I can't wait to beat him though...

EDIT: Just to clarify for those that dont read the post or comprehend english. I'm not trolling or whining, I like the raid, I really do, just curious on what Bungie's expected percentage is for completion... Granted 95% might be a slight exaggeration... It will still be a very high number of failures.
EDIT: Kinda cool this turning into a decent discussion, the whining troll posts have slowed down.
EDIT: Last one... I'll stick to my opinion but give maybe a more realistic number of 75% that wont beat HM Crota before HoW.
EDIT: 1 Feb 2015. Shocked this thread is still floating around... Really curious what the percentage is for Hard Mode. Its kinda funny Bungie will tell us and almost brag about how many times Crota went down, but won't tell us what percentage of players actually did it.

I enjoyed the challenge and I'm happy to say that most people will not be able to complete this. This is how a hard raid should be. Edit: All raid primaries from 3 hard raids. Good game (no crux)

Ogres are easy. Pick a side boomers are on and go in the area under them. Jump up to the ledge and kill one ogre as it comes out. It won't notice you right away and with 6 people using rockets..it is a breeze. Then, snipe or rocket the other ogre safely from that same room.

It's really about getting a strategy that works for you and your team. It was tough for us on the first day, but today we found a strat that works wonders and have beaten it twice in one night. Working on the third. Just keep working at it.

8 답변Look iv done it 3 times. And to be honest it's very unrewarding, I have 3 AR's (very common on the bridge) 1 pulse also very common from the abyss. I'm the 3 times iv dropped Crota i received 1 shader first. 1 helmet 2nd. 1 helmet 3rd, now apart from glowhoo which is common as the helmets I can get on normal so what's the fijcking point

1 답변Im my opinion I still feel like, hard mode atheon when it first came out was harder, since most of the players was level 29s and not level 30. On Crota once you have a good strat and a good team its gets easier over time.

I beat him first using the old L side and then below for Ogres method, and then using this new center w/ bubble escort method. Middle method is way easier, but it was so damn satisfying when we were finally able kill Crota using the old strategy.

Surround yourself with good players (i.e. people who can follow directions and keep mistakes to a minimum. And point and shoot. Pointing and shooting is good.) The classes you have are really important as well. Having 2 titans and a bladedancer swordbearer makes things much easier. I won't lie, it is difficult, but that's as it should be. It's all about execution. Every team member has a job and they all need to execute it flawlessly. If anyone dies it's pretty much a wipe.
